TINY POWER!!!

Warning: Spoilers
For starters, the beginning of this episode: Diana not knowing how to use a phone, causing her to take an ugly selfie then going full samurai on it is just downright hilarious. One of the reasons she's the best of the 5 girls.

The plot is ok... it's not amazing or anything but it's not horrible. The machine malfunctioning causing Karen to shrink instead of grow, while not super creative, is a good plot driver.

Moving down the line, Diana's tech illiteracy causes delays as she runs to get the key drive with an almost dead battery on the headset, which causes Karen to keep shrinking down to microscopic. The microscopic world's art style is very colorful and trippy which i love. It's also funny how Karen yells EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE when running away from an amoeba which causes diana to get an E drive rather than the required F drive.

Diana having gotten the wrong drive (and bartering her sword for it, i liked how Hacker Helen was so smug about taking her sword) didn't fit, this is where she tells Karen that Diana fought her way with technology, so Karen has to fight her way without technology, so the amoeba got to eat abacus for lunch.

Then Karen says the code, which should have just been said in the first place instead of running to get a key drive, the code? 123. Literally why go through all the trouble if its just the first 3 numbers of the number alphabet? If the code was a 4 digit random number and Karen forgot it would make more sense than just 123.

Aside from that, the episode is nothing too shabby, 7/10, Karen and Diana are the best 2 of the 5 super girls anyway.

A victory for this show... for once (rereview)

Warning: Spoilers
Of this show's characters, Karen is the one utilized the least in this show. She is a very intelligent, cute, and relatable character that I always seem to root for when she gets an episode. "#SmallVictories" is her best. In this show, she has very few episodes. They are somewhat decent, but I like seeing how she develops overtime in many of the season 1 episodes (like "#Beeline", despite that episode being bad).

This episode of the show is really good for a show with mostly mediocre quality like "DC Super Hero Girls". The jokes are average and the story is actually really good for once. The writing for the most part is good, too. The first and second half are on the same level of good for both being nice pieces of this episode's good whole.

"#SmallVictories" starts off decent. Karen and Diana's character development in this episode is the best thing about it because of their growth, their bond in this episode is really adorable, what Karen and Diana learn (the former learns to be more confident and learn how to deal with complex situations and the latter learns that technology isn't a horrible method of getting things done) is beneficial for both of their characters, and the plots of both Karen and Diana are enjoyable. I do prefer Karen's for the fast paced adventure (which is strange as Diana is my favorite of the main girls), but Diana's is good for a set of reasons. The main one being that she gets development. Her journey and character development is handled in a way that it should be handled in every episode, not overbearing.

There are some things in this episode that were annoying. The pacing of this episode feels a little rushed. The constant back-and-forth and the mediocre stakes in both plots is my biggest complaint about this episode. I also have some nitpicks like how conveniently Karen gets out of danger (the ramp to escape the , the barter for how unrealistic it is in terms of our modern society, and the ending. The ending is very underwhelming. Diana didn't get the correct drive for Karen's machine, but she still got back to normal size because of her code: that being '123'. It's very annoying for this kind of episode to end like this as it feels too much like its just trying to finish fast since the episode is almost over.

Overall, this episode is for sure a victory. It is a really good episode despite a few nitpicks. 8/10.
