Pistons @ Bulls, Mar 31 1998.

Warning: Spoilers
Brian Williams now playing for the Pistons showing some versatile offensive game. Michael and Scottie do things with relative ease early, Bulls up 6 at end of the 1st term. The Bulls others making some blunders, Longley in particular, but the Bulls hit shots, the Pistons don't. Stackhouse with outstanding plays ending the 2nd term, along with Williams, but the Bulls still up 15 at the half. Chicago turns it over a bit to start the 3rd and Stackhouse continues to play at a high level, on both ends. Detroit almost make up the deficit, but Jordan comes alive with many consecutive baskets, as well as finding the open man when doubled or tripled, Bulls up 8 going into the last. Hill crosses up Pippen for the dunk and then Stackhouse dunks on Pippen on the cut! Pippen in foul trouble, but I haven't seen him beaten like this before. Detroit actually take the lead, Jordan starts to get serious though, playing phenomenal 1on1 defense. Dumars hits the open 3 to go ahead with 1:20 on the clock, Bulls tie it up, Jordan shuts down Hill to take it to OT. The Pistons score just 6 points in OT, the Bulls hitting all free-throws, along with a Pippen 3. The Detroit 5 on the floor played the entire 2nd half and OT, crazy. The Pistons brought their best game, but it still wasn't enough against the mighty Bulls. The Pistons shot over 50% from the field, the Bulls were +9 on the boards and hit a few more 3's. The Bulls had a better assist to turnover ratio as well, the Pistons playing a lot of 1on1. Jordan while not putting up his usual world beating numbers, still had the most impact, with 26 points, 8 assists, 4 steals and 2 blocks. Rodman 18 boards, 5 offensive. Pippen 27 points, 7 boards, 7 assists, 6 turnovers. Stackhouse for the Pistons, coming off the bench for whatever reason, was 9 of 14 from the field, with 7 assists, 4 steals, 1 turnover. Hill scored an efficient 37 points, 5 assists, 10 boards, 3 steals, with 4 turnovers. Williams an efficient 27 points and 13 boards, but 6 turnovers.

3. (Chi) M. Jordan, 2. (Det) J. Stackhouse, 1. (Det) G. Hill.
