Water Off a Duck's Back
Prismark101 March 2023
Warning: Spoilers
The homicidal duck was revealed to be Officer Sam Rhodes. Under orders to finish off those whoever found out too much as to what was really going on in the ship.

While Vivian is waiting to be sacrificed by Lily, who she thought was her lover.

Jamie's rallying call manages to get the rest of the entertainment crew on his side.

It looks like there will be a showdown between the ships murderous crew and Jamie's ragtag army. Good job the Filipina reinforcements arrived in time.

A bloodthirsty finish. Vivian really does split with Lily.

Wreck ends with a subtext of Boris Johnson's Tory Britain. Rules don't apply to the rich and the powerful. Ironically Johnson was deposed by the time Wreck was broadcast. Still his acolytes live on in Parliament.

Oh, come on. Wrecked in the final act.

Being in possession of all the facts, Jamie has to win over the staff, Vivian is in mortal danger, as Lily is granted her wish.

Velorum holds a very nasty, well crafted secret, but of course, The BBC uses the final episode to make a point, rather than tell a story.

It's hilariously typical of a modern day BBC, a diverse community takes on a group of straight white male oppressors, led, of course, by a Karen, notably nine of the bad guys represent any other community, lazy writing, is there something in that?

All sorts of political messaging here, it feels like a snapshot of Britain, you have the workers up against the elite classes, they sit in luxury at the top, preying quite literally on those that make the cogs run.

I thought it was a fairly disappointing end.

5/10.
