Golf Scenes Pretty Realistic
Hitchcoc7 March 2021
A self centered, pontificating golfer is found with a serious wound to his neck. He bled out. His son is a good golfer who suddenly became unstoppable for a single round, breaking his father's course record. So several suspects are brought in, including his caddy, who has a bit of a shady past. Entertaining, but quite a stretch.

Need Grissom!!!
eva00819 October 2010
I don't say this was a terrible episode, but not the best one, why more Langston? And he knows every thing?( I don't believe it).

Anyhow the story was not bad, and even its about golf its not boring…. Good thing was we cant guess the killer and that's what we need to see on the show, also Nick still got his charm… Hodges got a chance to prove that he the king of the lab.

And its good to see Greg and Sara working together, we can see still Greg has feeling for Sara, but too much lab, and end was seems to be a rush they should've explained the evidence more, and of course we really miss Grissom. At the end ( if he still in CSI this will become a great episode!!)

Not A Bad Episode, But...
lnzbyl1 May 2020
...a serious contender for the most boring one. This episode certainly was not meant to be taken seriously, but I still had to ask why practically the entire group was working on the case. A golfer is found dead in a golf course and the next 30-plus minutes is taken up running through a set of usual suspects (ex-wife, ex-wife's sister, disgruntled son, former professional colleague now disgraced caddy for the son). Nothing of note really occurs during the episode, and each particle of information is delivered with the same amount of excitement one can derive from watching paint dry or, for that matter, watching a game of professional golf. The "aha" moment of the episode revolves around an urban legend in golf. One gets the sense that one or more of the writers came across this urban legend and said "wouldn't that make a great CSI episode?" If only one or more of the other wrong had said "no, it would not." If only...if only...

Maybe the Worst Episode
claudio_carvalho28 June 2023
On the day after beating the record of his father Russell Huntley, his estranged son Daniel, his caddy John Dudek, Russell's ex-wife Michelle Nagano, and her sister, Erin become suspect of his murder. Russell Huntley was found dead in a golf cart in the country club and all suspects have motive to see him dead.

"Long Ball" is maybe the worst episode of "CSI". The plot about golf is not attractive, maybe only for fans of this sport. Further, Langston is getting worse and worse each episode. After the departure of Grissom, Langston is not capable to be the substitute for the charismatic character and the writers are trying to become him is a knows-all character and he becomes annoying. My vote is four.
