Both the main cast of Rahman and Vijay shanti are in their late 30s during this movie . It shows. Both look a bit heavy for the young lovers impulsive role . Here both are cousins and they were engaged in childhood . Her rich daddy gives entire property to his daddy assuming his daughter will enjoy those riches . After his death , his daddy throws out his sister ( Annapurna ) with her and takes over the entire property himself .Both mother and daughter face many problems while the villain sends his own son abroad to study so that he can forget his cousin. After 15 years when he returns , her mother Annapurna comes to remind him of his promise of marrying their children . He flatly refuses . A young chirpy dashing Rahman and Vijayshanti keep meeting and dreaming about their marraige . When they realise they cannot get married with his father's permission, they drink poison impulsively to die .Vijayshanti is declared dead. Rahman survives and is in deep depression. To help him out they send him to New Zealand . A picturesque pretty colourful place . He encouters another girl excatly like his cousin . He chases her who refutes him all ways . Finally he professes his love for her and she reluctantly agrees . No history or back ground about her family there is shown . When they return to India and he introduces her to his father , he is stunned at the resemblence . But agrees for the marriage as she seems rich . Slowly its shown that she is indeed the dead neice who actually did not die and has come back to haunt him. Both of them. Play games with innocent Rahman as their pawn. Finally he revolts against his own father with her backing . Once they get married she reveals herself to him and all seems well. A lot of loop holes makes this illogical. A lot of money is spent in foreign locales and their duets. Both are mistmatched . She looks ridiculous in that wig and tight clothes. A heavy Rahman is difficult to be taken seriously as an innocent daddy's boy . Go for it only if you are her fan .
