It was a good episode with a lot of funny moments.

I think in this episode we finally see of what Boardwalk Empire is made off.

I really like Jimmy being in Chicago with Al, and he's a really good adviser to him and his "business". I enjoyed every minute of Jimmy and Pearl as well, she's a really cute character.

In this episode we finally see a little sparkle of Margaret-Nucky's romance. I don't know if I'm a good fan of this couple, but I like every moment of her in Babbette's.

For me, the best character of the episode was Chalky and the speech of his father was quite impressive. Michael Kenneth Williams did an amazing job.

In its fourth episode the plot is still progressing slowly, but the characters are so well realised that that's not much of an issue. There's Al Capone, whose lack of restraint leads to Jimmy's girlfriend being slashed. There's Nucky, who we see at the start of the episode practising how he will react to his own surprise birthday party. It hammers home how much of his life is a performance. But Margaret stole the show, for me. She goes through subtle changes, delivering a dress to Lucy as part of her job, dancing with Nucky, then seeing the shameless sexual performance Lucy gives Nucky after bursting out of the cake. When she steals lingerie from her shop, is this a turning point? Mentioning Lucy, I have to commend her for being such an offensively dumb person who has nothing to offer the world apart from her cheap sex appeal. Proof that the girls seen on 'Love Island' are nothing new.

With a backdrop of a young girl claiming to be the survivor of the Romanoff family, our story continues.

We see hate at its worst with a meeting of the Klan and how a black man retaliates against a Klan member.

Nucky is naturally up to his old tricks and Jimmy's girlfriend feels the full wrath of a gangster who was told by her where he could go.

We also view corruption by a U.S. senator which is nothing surprising given the nature of the period.

Our Irish lass seems to be making a life for herself after being widowed in the first episode. She is starting to like clothes as she swipes something from the store she is working in.
