This episode is THE example that producers & network execs need to see, to show them that Zasio should NEVER be involved with people who need professional psychological help. Dr. Tolin has always been the best therapist on Hoarders, and he is outstanding in this episode. He works with the entire family, hoarder & crew to reach a best outcome. Where we've now seen a family member in another episode go to a producer on site to complain (implicitly about Zasio - perhaps explicitly, but viewers weren't shown that), this episode shows a legitimate expert with real education & training, Dr Tolin (contrast with Zasio.....) listening, responding, guiding, and being truly valuable to the people in need of this help. Where we saw Zasio in the previous episode step away from responsibility for guiding the process and essentially blame the hoarder & family (which ended poorly), in this episode Dr Tolin exercises the perfect kind of therapeutic direction & leadership: listening, asking right questions, responding instead of having preconceptions; guidance, understanding, appropriate & professional compassion - all to a good outcome, rather than the fairytale BS that Zasio tries to tie into a neat bow just before she runs away as fast as possible to the next paying gig for her wannabe celebrity.
I hope the network & producers will note the profound differences illustrated in the two most recent episodes, and consider the grave disservice of continuing to employ the phony-degreed, weakly educated, wholly incompetent Zasio. Dr Tolin should be the standard to which the show aspires.
