Yet one show that aired in a Dead Slot (weekday afternoon) in Finland, yet proved so entertaining that I am watching the reruns as a write. What makes this one entertaining? (Note that I did not say "an achievement", "top quality" or anything in that vein.) Most reality dating shows that have come since The Bachelor (whether it was first or not, it was the one that opened the floodgates) *hope* there will be conflict (or drama, if you prefer), and the viewers will be entertained. The Perfect Catch with Carmen Electra (she's barely in the show, by the way - talk about cashing in on her name) constantly *pulls the strings* of the contestants to create conflict - cat-fights, yay! - between the contestants. And The Perfect Catch has another catch (heh) as well...

On the island of Paros, the contestants had to run around looking for checkpoints at each of which they were asked a question, "Who said the following about who?" There had been friction before, but that's when all hell broke loose. Questions like "Of whom X said,'Y is the biggest bitch of you all'?" to which the answer was, "Of you." and "Who said you and Z look like two men kissing?" pushed some contestants over the edge. Frak, women are intense in a cat-fight! What's more, as the show progresses, most of the contestants inadvertently reveal they are anything or everything of the following: superficial, narcissist, selfish, backstabbing, mean-spirited, hollow-brained, morally bankrupt shells of human beings. And most of them don't seem to realize the joke is on them, viewers seeing how despicable these persons really are. There are a few good men (and women), but you know what they say about bad apples... All this provides an entertaining, 7/10 ride - just the breathtaking scenery of the Greek islands adds one point.
