The Comedians and the Fugitive
claudio_carvalho28 July 2023
After the rehearsal, the comedians Bernie Nash and Knuckles Pratt prepare for a sold-out reunion in Las Vegas. Out of the blue, Bernie Nash is found dead in his dressing-room. Nick, Greg and Brass assumed the investigation, and soon the CSI find evidence that his death was not natural as they had initially believed. Meanwhile, Catherine, Langston and Sara investigate the body of a man found without identification with a hundred and something bullets from different weapons. When they find one of his fingers, they learn that he is Kurtis Torse, a wanted fugitive that bombed an abortion clinic a few years ago. Now they believe the case is revenge from a victim's relative or friend.

"Take My Life, Please" is a reasonable episode of CSI, with two segments. The case of the old comedian that is found dead exposes many dirty things about the duo, the club owner and Knuckles' mistress, but is silly in the end. The plot of the fugitive is more interesting and impressive regarding the shooting club in Nevada. The coincidence in the end provides a good conclusion. My vote is seven.

Welcome back, Greg Sanders!
LineThy1 May 2010
Not so long ago I read somewhere that one of the things the original CSI needs to get back on its feed is Greg Sanders' funny comments, and I could not agree more! The character has become way to sombre - what happen to our beloved wisecrack?

In "Take My Life, Please" we don't just look back to the good old days of Las Vegas, but we get some of the good old Greg Sanders back! How he's been missed! Its actually a perfect story to re-introduce him, because of his love and knowledge of Vegas' Golden Age, even if it is only hinted at with Knuckles comment on how Greg can possible know why Knuckles and Nash stopped their first performance run thirty years ago.

Let's hope fun man Greg don't go into oblivion again - we do need some Papa Olaf ;o)

Funny Ain't Always Funny

Time Conway stars as part of long time Vegas comedy team, except his partner is going around the bend. The guy is depressed and is found dead in his dressing room. The other is a found on the strip with hundreds of bullet holes in him. Why would someone shoot someone that many times? The question really is "where" would you shoot that many bullets?
