But They are Annoyong...
GunnersMate26 May 2018
The Story of O2 was not a writing victory. The crisis of the week is solid (i.e., there is a youth-built rocket to the moon competition and a problem with local birds) but too many characters are simply annoying for this episode to be a real success. Kevin's teenage angst is turned up to an eleven, Zoe is an ungrateful and selfish college brat, the scientist of the week is loud and grating and not helpful to the plot or amusing to the viewer, and Allison takes a nod back to some of her tendencies toward exceptionally poor decisions...it's just really difficult to enjoy any of the plot lines due to terribly annoying behavior by the lead characters. ..all but one that is. The Jo and Zane plot line has some interesting developments, but it is hardly worth sitting through the entire episode. Not one of their best.

Warning: Spoilers
I am a big fan of this show and I have been through the series several times. This is my least favorite episode mostly because of the many, many errors. here are a few: 1. No parent in their right mind would travel all the way across the country to surprise their daughter in her dorm room. Of course Jack should have called and made plans with Zoe. 2. Co-ed dorms separate men and women by floors. They absolutely do not share shower rooms or restrooms. I was a head resident in a 1300, Co-ed student residence hall. My doctoral minor is in College Student Personnel. Trust me on this. 3. Allison would never have cheated. That's completely out of character. 4. The "scientist" who developed the O2 material talks like a 12 year old skateboarder. In academia, he would have never been allowed to graduate and thereby embarrass his alma mater. 5. SiFi got the Army uniforms wrong, again. The General's aide is a Captain (Company Grade) but he is wearing a Field Grade Officer's hat. That hat is authorized for Majors and above. He is not wearing Branch Insignia. He should be wearing Ad. Gen. Corps. I'm a retired Army Officer. Trust me on this, too. 6. Risking the destruction of Eureka on the guess of a 13 year old is just absurd.
