This was an interesting short, with an unusual kind of visual style.
At first sight the characters look as they were drawings done by a very little kid, but the CGI rendering of those designs give this a very special touch, despite the fact that some of the scenes are very confusing to watch. I guess that some viewers will find that kind of visual style to be ugly, but personally I liked it.
The plot is equally attractive, showing the contrast and parallels between the fantasy and reality, and the nature of video games as a form of escapism.
While "Get Real!" can be very confusing at moments, it also spellbinding as well, being more than worth-watching.
7.5/10
