That youtuber guy was pretty funny!

So many are getting infected, so many are dying, everyone is scared and there is one youtuber who is live streaming this whole Zombie madness and wants you subscribe his channel. This episode also focuses on the origin of the virus, that part was cool too.

Wow

The storyline is still very interesting and well-written. The characters are amazing. Moreover, I really like the references to "Train to Busan", because it's so meta and self aware. Also, some scenes (especially, the conversations between the students) are very funny. Last but not least, the ending scene of that episode was again so promising.

[8.5] To let oneself be "killed" and "turned" into oblivion

Episode 4: More dark sides of humankind is shown in this episode. How people can turn to their worse sides when confronted with outstanding situations.

It's a slower episode overall with less mind-numbing actions, advancing the story, shedding some light on several characters' behaviors and in the process getting a lower rating because of its slow flow, rich in behavioral analysis.

Three in a row

Three perfect episodes now and the show has no signs of slowing down. Some more growing zombie menace and a funny streamer who's much better than the one in HELLBOUND. The school set-pieces are still intense and the character work is working just fine.

SURVIVAL
MandalBros-530 January 2022
This episode had some of the best elements. As it focused on the way of survival and the origin of the virus. And of course it continued with its social commentary. But, some sequences were not believeable specially when humans were encountered with zombies. Also, while watching you'll think that these characters shouldn't done what they're doing. Otherwise, the episode ended with a very good cliffhanger.

Strange episode

Warning: Spoilers
Flaws
  • The streamer idea is slightly unnecessary because it's already been used in Hellbound. I hope they don't create more K-content cliches.

  • Random slow-motion moments that are completely unnecessary and ineffective
  • The scientist father's motivation was difficult to relate to. If your son is getting bullied and wants to kill himself, turning him into a zombie should not be the first thing that crosses the father's mind (therapy, anyone?). I understand his manifesto, but it can only come from a mentally ill person with an inflated ego, which in turn made me question why he was willing to sacrifice himself for the police officer all of a sudden. It felt out of character.

  • Eun-ji was just not a great character. Hardly compelling performance and the whole idea about uploading a video was not great because...does she not understand how cloud storage works... destroying the phones do nothing. And perhaps it's not in the character's understanding that the whole world is basically screwed at this point and there will be nobody left to watch the video, which is also weird considering that they are aware of the concept of zombies. I understand that irrational decisions can be made by characters in dire situation, but there's a fine balance between an acceptable and sensible irrational decision versus bad writing.

  • Gui-nam vs Chung-san was so weird. Terribly performed and the dialogue was wack. Again, video was used as a form of attack but there literally is no one left to care.

I don't want to be the type to spot out and criticize every plot hole but these were some moments that really boggled my head (there were many others). I usually reason with questionable moments with my own refutation to maintain the suspension of disbelief but... I found it challenging with this particular episode. You can still create a believable dystopian world without having to resort every answer as "Oh it's a zombie apocalypse, they are irrational"

Look at the review there

Another episode to watch again and rethink pre-established concepts in modern society, it certainly opens people's eyes in relation to bullying in schools and how it should be treated more seriously. The only negative thing was the scenes without consistency and very different from reality, which affected my experience very negatively, otherwise nothing to complain about.
