5 minutes in and this is tough to watch. Shes not interacting with engaging dialogue or responses. Its almost unbearable. Luckily, Will Arnette carries it. Its almost like Annie isnt in on the joke or aware its supposed to be funny. I understand she doesnt have a script, but that doesnt excuse missing the whole concept of "funny" and improv. She plays in a sitcom, guess i just expected more. Will seems to be spoon feeding her opportunities to be funny and literally has to say "i am trying to help you" lol which i feel like he honestly meant because she was playing the role too deadpan. Unfortunately, Annie is missing the mark this episode. Netflix played it smart to make this 4th episode and not 1st or 2nd in the series.
Edit: updated from a 5 to 7 after watching the whole British series for reference. I give her a little more credit and though she didnt seem to have as much fun in a comedic sense, she did maybe do the best at realizing clues. Maybe took the detective role too serious and could've maybe let loose some.
