Television presenter Simon tells his family that he's done with his job, and wants to become a Buddhist and head to a retreat, his mother Tanya is devastated, who will pay her mortgage.
So, it's simon Amstell, playing Simon, TV presenter in sitcom land, it remains as quirky as it was when it first landed.
I'm not sure how this show was received by viewers, but it's one I've always enjoyed watching over the years.
This first episode introduces each of the characters, and the family dynamic. Simon is a bit of an oddity, a celebrity in a fairly standard, I'd dysfunctional family. We have crazy Clive, Liz with her moustache, Bernie and his problems, and poor Lilly trying to look after everyone.
There are several laughs, including Adam's haircut, Liz having to wear a beret, and Bernie showing off.
Quirky, but funny.
7/10.
