Top Gun: Maverick, Andor and Dolly Parton are among the nominees for the 30th annual Movieguide Awards, which honor “the best of family-friendly movies and television programs and spiritually uplifting entertainment.”
The Top Gun sequel will compete for best mature audience movie along with Father Stu: Reborn, Jurassic World: Dominion, Mrs. Harris Goes to Paris and Uncharted.
Meanwhile, the five films up for best family movie are The Chosen Season 3: Episode 1 & 2, Lyle, Lyle Crocodile, Marcel the Shell With Shoes On, Puss in Boots: The Last Wish and Sonic The Hedgehog 2.

BBC Worldwide, the commercial arm of U.K. commercial broadcaster BBC, on Tuesday unveiled a first-look deal with U.K. TV producer Red Planet Pictures, known mostly for its dramas. BBC Worldwide will provide investment, co-production expertise and global market support in return for the first look at Red Planet’s new productions. Financial terms weren't disclosed. The BBC has commissioned new dramas by award-winning scriptwriter Jimmy McGovern and the creator of Hustle Tony Jordan.
BBC's Controller of Drama Commissioning Ben Stephenson announced the projects at a keynote speech he gave at Miptv.
He said: "Both of these new commissions are passion projects for Jimmy McGovern and Tony Jordan - and are projects only the BBC would make."
McGovern has teamed up with Rsj Films to create an eight-part serial for BBC Two. The untitled series will be set in the late 1780s and will focus on the deportation of unwanted British citizens to the other side of the world.
The title and cast of the upcoming programme - which will be told through the eyes of convicts James Freeman, Tommy Barrett and Elizabeth Quinn - is expected to be announced in the coming months.
Meanwhile Tony Jordan - whose previous projects include Hustle, Life on Mars...

The role of Sara in BBC America’s sci-fi drama Orphan Black has been given to Canadian actress Tatiana Maslany.
Sarah, an outsider, orphan and street-wise chameleon who has a murky past and tenuous future after she witnesses a woman’s suicide. After deciding to assume the identity of the dead stranger who looks just like her, Sarah learns that she and the dead woman are clones. As she searches for answers, Sarah discovers that there are more out there.
Additional castings will be announced shortly and filming is set to begin on the 10-episode series in October in Toronto by Temple Street Productions.

Production is currently underway on the set of the second series of 'Love/Hate'. The first block of shooting, which is being directed by David Caffrey commenced two weeks ago in and around Dublin city and will continue for another two weeks. The second instalment of the series sees the return of cast members Robert Sheehan (Killing Bono); Aidan Gillen (Wake Wood); Tom Vaughan-Lawlor (Becoming Jane); Ruth Bradley (Grabbers); Ruth Negga (The Nativity).

Tatiana Maslany has admitted that it was "a challenge" playing the role of Mary in BBC One's The Nativity. Writing on the BBC TV blog, the actress explained that she had tried to forget the role's religious significance. "The role was... both daunting and exciting," she said. The Nativity star Peter Capaldi has revealed that he almost missed filming on the BBC drama. The actor, who plays the Magi Balthasar, explained in an official BBC interview that his travel to Morocco was disrupted due to the eruption of an Icelandic volcano in April.
