A group of friends and influencers staying at an Airbnb are picked off one by one in #Amfad: All My Friends Are Dead, directed by Marcus Dunstan (The Collector) and starring Jade Pettyjohn.
The upcoming slasher film, written by Josh Sims and Jessica Sarah Flaum, releases in select theaters, Digital and On Demand August 2.
The plot sees “a group of college friends rent an Airbnb for the biggest music festival of the year. A weekend of partying quickly takes a turn, as the group is murdered one by one, according to their sin.” Bloody Disgusting spoke with Marcus Dunstan and Jade Pettyjohn during the production of the film about the vibrant, candy-colored slasher with a bloody streak.

There’s more than one way to be a passenger in life, not all of which involve vehicles. That’s certainly the case when it comes to the protagonist in Carter Smith’s propulsive new thriller, which functions like a therapy session on wheels between a murderous shrink and an unwilling patient. If the two of them don’t exactly paint the town red during their would-be getaway, it’s only because their journey was precipitated by a shocking act of violence in their place of business and they now have to keep a low profile. “The Passenger” does as well, and proves sneakily effective with its low-key approach to several kinds of violence.
Before anything overt occurs, the film unsettles us via the color scheme of the grimy fast-food joint where Bradley (Johnny Berchtold) works: a mix of unappetizing yellow, orange, and brown that looks to have been designed...

Unhuman begins with title cards proclaiming it ”A Blumhouse Afterschool Special” and “Presented by the Student Teach Division (Std)”. That was the last thing I was expecting from a film by director Marcus Dunstan and his long-time co-writer Patrick Melton. While the three Feast films had their share of humour the duo are better known for more serious fare such as several of the later Saw films as well as The Collector and its sequel, both of which Dunstan also directed.
And it does begin like an Afterschool Special, Ever goes from dealing with her overprotective mother to being picked up by her best friend Tamra (Ali Gallo; Before I Go) who nearly hits Randall on their way to school. But...

Brianne Tju knows a thing or two about teen horror, considering she was only 13 years old when she appeared on the R.L. Stine anthology series, "The Haunting Hour." In the years since, Tju has returned to horror repeatedly in projects like "iZombie," "Light as a Feather," "47 Meters Down: Uncaged," and both the "Scream" and "I Know What You Did Last Summer" shows. Now, Brianne has finally been given the opportunity to lead a horror flick with Blumhouse and Epix's "Unhuman" from writer/director Marcus Dunstan and frequent co-writer Patrick Melton.

Unhuman is the latest low-budget horror film from the prolific Jason Blum and Blumhouse, and at first glance, there’s nothing particularly innovative about it. After all, there’s only so much you can do with zombie movies when that subgenre’s been around for years and almost everything has been tried with it. Under the directing duo of Patrick Melton and Marcus Dunstan – responsible for the tasteless Feast series and a large number of the Saw sequels – this has the bare minimum of setup: a bunch of high school kids are packed on a bus for a field trip (“for extra credit” is as far as reasons go) and are very quickly preyed upon by a feral metalhead and his followers, who behave like the...

Arriving on digital this Friday, June 3rd, from Blumhouse Television and Epix is Unhuman, the latest project from Marcus Dunstan that finds a group of high schoolers on a field trip in a fight for their lives when things take a turn and they are confronted by a horde of blood-thirsty zombies. Co-written by Dunstan and Patrick Melton, Unhuman stars Brianne Tju, Benjamin Wadsworth, Uriah Shelton, Ali Gallo, and Peter Giles.
During the recent press day for Unhuman, Daily Dead had the chance to speak with Dunstan about his approach to the story for his latest tale of terror and how events from his childhood helped inspired him to take the less-expected route with the film’s storytelling. Dunstan also discusses working with his cast and crew and gives this writer hope that The Collective, the intended third part of The Collector trilogy, will eventually move forward at some point in the future after all.

Hello everyone! The summer season is pretty much upon us now, but don’t expect the horror or sci-fi genre offerings to slow down at all during this time of the year because June’s slate of VOD and Digital releases is jam-packed throughout the entire month. So, if you’re looking for a good excuse (or many excuses) to stay inside and beat the heat, this rundown has got you covered.
Hulu is debuting the latest seasons of both The Orville and Only Murders in the Building this month, and Shudder is keeping busy with several exclusive films heading to their platforms, too, including Phil Tippett’s Mad God, which I highly recommend because it blew me away when I saw it last year, and Mickey Keating’s Offseason is pretty darned good, too. Look to The Collector, The Collection, Feast, Into the Dark’s “Pilgrim,” or a few Saw sequels as examples. "What is it with you shut-ins and these zombie fantasies?" Blumhouse + Paramount have revealed the main trailer for Unhuman, a horror comedy from Blumhouse Television that is coming to VOD next month. A new film from the filmmaker behind The Collector and The Collection, though this feels much different. A group of misfit high school students must band together to survive when their school bus crashes on a field trip. Relationships are tested once they realize they are being stalked by strange attackers. They must take down the murderous zombie-creatures... before they end up killing each other first. This stars Brianne Tju, Benjamin Wadsworth, Uriah Shelton, Ali Gallo, and Peter Giles. This definitely looks made-for-tv, with a limited budget and derivative ideas, even the "undead" after them aren't that scary. Worth skipping? Exclusive: Branden Cook (Industry), Spencer House (The Time Traveler’s Wife) and Benjamin Wadsworth (Deadly Class) are set as series regulars opposite Grace Van Patten and Jackson White in Tell Me Lies, Hulu’s straight-to-series drama based on Carola Lovering’s novel, which is executive produced by Emma Roberts.
Adapted by Meaghan Oppenheimer, Tell Me Lies follows a tumultuous but intoxicating relationship as it unfolds over the course of 8 years. When Lucy Albright (Van Patten) and Stephen DeMarco (White) meet at college, they are at that formative age when seemingly mundane choices lead the way to irrevocable consequences. Although their relationship begins like any typical campus romance, they quickly fall into an addictive entanglement that will permanently alter not only their lives, but the lives of everyone around them.
Cook will play Evan, a kind, intelligent guy who often feels stunted by his father’s success, causing him to sometimes lack motivation.
