The trees were the least wooden part of this whole film. The husband did a decent enough job, but frankly this film was as bad as a film could be.
The script made no sense, even at the end a line is invented so the wife can 'realise' what is happening. Affraid to say I had worked it out before they had got into their car.
The filming was bad...probably a handheld camera, it was always moving and added nothing to the atmosphere, nor to a sense of isolation....neither really were in the film.
Have no idea who I was supposed to 'support' in the film....but I know who I wanted to get through it.

a truely terrible film

Well - the only positive is that it's under 1 hr 24 minutes long (excluding credits which if you've got this far you've probably had a drink too many).
Were this filmed in the early 1900's the viewer could escape the script - so poorly scribed that the overly misplaced and repetative scenic views were a welcome relief.
As for the acting? Our heroine was just laughable throughout - and the character? A Money obsessed, self absorbed adulteress who we are supposed to have sympathy for.
The scenario was as expected (as was the plot) from the start. Clues left right and centre - and the usual ending... yes I won't spoil it although it has been played over every comparable films of this genre.
As for the camera capturing this torment..... well enough said.
My advice? Look out of the window for 1 hour 24 minutes. You will have more excitement.

Wow...this is sooooooooooooooo boring. There is nothing entertaining about it. The acting is bland, the script is atrocious. And it is most definitely filmed on a camcorder. The worst part is that you know they really thought this was good when they made it.
A woman begrudgingly goes camping with her husband, but when a strange man appears, unease and paranoia set in.

In the Woods is a regular 'lets go camping in the middle of nowhere' film in which strange noises creep out the female. Paranoia soon takes over her and she realizes she can only trust herself. A nice film with decent acting, no frills but it feels authentic and rustic, so if you like a thriller/horror you could relate to, it's worth a watch.
