The Smell of Petrol is the second short film by award winning writer/director Branko Tomovic. The film highlights the dark and brutal world of human trafficking and shines a light on the people involved in such operations. It's a character study of a woman who is working as a trafficker for illegal immigrants but is faced with an unbearable task which forces her to take a look at her actions. The British Academy of Film and Television Arts announced Tuesday (April 24) the nominations for its 2012 television awards. British miniseries "Appropriate Adult," which chronicles the real-life serial killer Fred West, leads the way with four nominations.
Other notable nominations include Dame Maggie Smith up for Supporting Actress for her work on "Downton Abbey" - it's the only nomination "Downton" received, after earning two nominations the previous year. "Modern Family" also earned a nomination in the International category.

Screenterrier posted the casting call for new Cbbc series Postcode back in May last year, and now the series is about to hit our screens.
Postcode stars a line-up of new talent:
Rwanda-born 17 year old Roger Nsengiyumva, from Norwich, who made his screen debut last year in feature film Africa United takes the lead role of Jamal. He is joined by newcomer Manpreet Bambra (represented by Kelly Management) as female lead Sheela and another newcomer 17 year old Robert Eades from London stars as Zak.
The three-part drama, written by the BAFTA-winning screenwriter Tony Marchant, follows a group of young people with diverse backgrounds who share a postcode – but very little else.

Coverage of the Wimbledon men's final served up almost 5.5m on Sunday, while BBC One's child trafficking thriller Stolen failed to eclipse Scott And Bailey on ITV1, the latest audience data has revealed. Novak Djokovic's victory over Rafael Nadal was seen by 5.49m (45.3%) on BBC One between 1pm and 5.30pm. However, the BBC's much publicised 3D coverage of the final appealed to just 140k (0.1%) on the BBC HD channel, suggesting a still relatively limited appetite for sport in 3D. Further Wimbledon 2011 action pulled in 820k (5.1%) on BBC Two between 5.30pm and 8pm, before series 17 of Top Gear tumbled to 3.88m (16.7%), down 440k week-on-week. A further 709k (3.1%) watched the motoring show on BBC HD. Stolen, starring Damian Lewis, averaged 3.44m (14.9%) for BBC One between 9pm and 10.30pm, but the drama was outperformed by Scott (more)...
