Morgan is no Larry King!
ShelbyTMItchell16 September 2013
Warning: Spoilers
First of all, not much of a fan of Larry King's. But still, he was classy and really a nice guy it seems. I will admit that he is missed. But his replacement, Piers Morgan. Really is so rude and obnoxious to his guests.

He interrupts them and tries to prove his point. As he also treats them at times, like he was right and better than thou. He just comes off as a self-righteous jerk. Who tries to see that he is right. And unlike Larry, who acted cool, calm, and collective. Piers acts really with too much emotion and treats his guests like dirt.

Give me Larry King any day at anytime!

Piers Morgan Tonight not fun to watch!
mulberry21015 February 2011
Piers Morgan is NOT a good listener, which IMO makes him a poor interviewer. He fires question after question at his guests. The guest barely has time to formulate an answer to one question before Piers fires another question on a different subject. He ruins every interview by inserting his own opinions. I'm not watching to find out his opinions. I would like to hear what his guests have to say. He needs to STOP interrupting and listen to his interviewees. I suppose CNN will let this go on forever. At one time Katie Couric was in the running to replace Larry King. She is a fabulous interviewer...well prepared and confident. It is uncomfortable to watch Morgan who seems like he is trying too hard and because of low ratings may realize his job is on the line. Go back to America's Got Talent, Piers. You were excellent on that show. We all wanted to hear what you had to say then, but on this new show, you are not the star. Your guest is.

Piers Morgan is a horrible interviewer
pinoypride555 March 2014
Piers Morgan enjoys spewing one-liners in order to shoot down a guest who has opposing views. He would rather make a fool out of the scenario rather than inducing a full and thorough discussion on the topic at hand.

The show embodies Morgan's spirit of belligerence, bias, and incomprehension remarkably well, as is emanates from every episode. His "discussions" are littered with ad hominems and straw man fallacies! Perhaps this is why his ratings are so low and why this show is being canceled.

I chose to rate this show as a 1 foremost, as a great source for observing logical fallacies in schoolroom settings.

Piers Morgan Tonight
matandi20014 April 2013
CNN fans remember the legendary Larry King of the famous 'Larry King Live'. I have no doubt in my mind that Larry had a large following all over the world. I remember him for his gentlemanly demeanor and baritone voice.

His replacement is one Piers Morgan running 'Piers Morgan Tonight'.The latter is a complete disaster and the worst thing to have ever happened to CNN. He is an outright bully, dictator and egocentric. He hardly gives his interviewees a chance to talk and woe him/her who has divergent views from his. He's not ashamed to hurl insults to his patrons.

With all due respect, Piers Morgan is not fit to host a Talk Show. If I were to give him a job, it would be Warden of Georgia State Prison, honestly.

Just go to youtube and look up Piers Morgan and Ben Shapiro debate video. That video is a nutshell of what this show is. I'm glad this show can tanked.

Victim of Unavoidable Bias
official-jab11 April 2012
There couldn't have been a more thankless job than following in LK's time slot. No matter who on Earth took that spot, they would have been ripped apart. The fact that he's British may or may not be related to all of the negative feedback about his show, but what should be undeniable is that he's refreshingly persistent with his questioning, but is always composed and calm, never flying off the handle, even in the more heated debates, such as with Toure or Penn Jillette.

Being bold enough to poke at nerves with guests has to be done carefully, but everyone watching wants to know what a politician thinks about particular issues, and not many interviews go as deep as the public would like. Having Christine O'Donnell walk off her interview rather than field a question on the touchy LGBT subject is very telling of her position, and wouldn't have happened with a more reserved host.

It was unfortunate that he had to come along and be necessarily compared to Larry King, a fantastic host, but Morgan was confident and outspoken enough to take over a job that nobody was brave enough for. If that doesn't speak enough of his character, then the show itself ought to, if you try watching it with an open mind.
