Uninspired animated film Warning: Spoilers
"AniMen: Triton Force" feels (and looks) pretty much like a Saturday Morning Cartoon (a not very good one) having a generic, extremely simplistic plot and clichéd characters.

Personally, I don't mind the fact that the plot were so simple and unoriginal but the main problem of this movie is that it is not even funny to watch: It is very slow and dull for the most part, being incredibly heavy-handed at moments to the point of being tedious.

The main characters are just generic archetypes: The serious hero, the super-evil villain who laughs a lot, the annoying "funny" guy who keeps telling many bad jokes…It was very, very hard for me to care about any of those characters. I could barely distinguish one from another, since their personalities were so bland and boring.

The action scenes weren't very good either, being way too tamed and forgettable. The last fighting scene felt endless.

In what concerns to the animation quality, "AniMen: Triton Force" feels incredibly dated, having the looks of a CGI Saturday Morning Cartoon from the nineties, such as "Beast Wars" or "Reboot". Except that "Beast Wars" and "Reboot" were actually funny to watch, unlike this. The first time I saw this movie, I thought that it was older. Too my surprise, ""AniMen" is from the year 2010, making my impressions about the animation of this film to be even worse.

The design of the characters is terribly bland and unappealing, being just slightly less ugly than other cheap animated CGI films, such as "Delgo". On the other side, the designs of the giant robots and the spaceships were somewhat original and interesting. Too bad that we couldn't say the same thing about the other aspects from this movie.

Personally, I think that even little kids will find this boring.

Animen Triton Force - "Save yourself"

Is this for real? Please tell me how I can get my hour-and-a-half back?

Triton Force is primitive storytelling peppered with cliché dialog too painful to watch. It was like a bad-hangover-Saturday afternoon with retarded mutant ninja turtles meet mechawarriors with butt-rockets.

Imagine taking elements from every space scifi and animation movie and cramming them into one anime story. This is it, only minus the originality and imagination. Truly beyond rescuing.

Should have been a PlayStation game rather than a movie. Even then, I doubt it would have generated any interest.

2 stars for CG, sound effects and voice actors, but hardly any saving grace.

Good for kids, but there is no need for adults to watch unless you MUST see everything sci-fi and enjoy animated features...

..that pretty much sums up this mediocre animated feature film. Apparently, in the future humans mutate into two races, the Frogmen and the T-Hy (cockroach people). They now battle for the planet, dubbed the MALO war.

The animation is (very!) simple and basic, looking like it was made in the year 2000. It doesn't look bad in HD, but it isn't impressive either. The characters are generic in every way (from design to stereotype), except the voice acting is actually pretty good (unfortunately the dialog isn't!).

Youngish children (5-12), boys specifically, might greatly enjoy this as an action/adventure. It's something you can comfortably put on for the family and not worry about excessive violence (there is action but I wouldn't call it violent), sexuality, or anything inappropriate for children. Heck, it even has a pseudo environmental message to it!

All in all, I would only suggest this film to someone looking to put on an action/sci-fi for a younger audience. If you are an adult looking for an animated action/sci-fi, go check out Starship Troopers Invasion (2012)...

I have watched this animation in 3d at a preview screening in Russia. This is a U rated film. This animation was fun to watch from beginning to end. This would be a perfect animation for whole family.I highly recommend everyone to watch this animation in 3D. I liked the setting and it was very appropriate to bring a child to go watch and reasonably entertaining for an adult. As for the animation, there is much to enjoy with excellent visual effects. Overall a good job by Xu Kerr. I hope that everyone would enjoy the animation. Forget about being an adult for an hour and have some fun. I would give this movie a high rating 10/10.
