Sex & Nudity

  • One character stated to touch Saya in a sexual manner and the scene lasted for some seconds only.
  • Nudity in the opening though it's covered by blood
  • A bath scene with nudity, non sexual

Violence & Gore

  • One of the Goriest and Brutalist anime ever made. The gory violence gets more and more graphic with each episode.
  • Even the main character gets bashed and thrashed. She gets hit with acid on her back, gets a nasty gash on her cheek, gets hit on the side really hard (sounded like it broke ribs), also gets dozens of cuts on the back, and even has half her face blow off (very gory).
  • Very gory murders with limbs and heads being torn off with lashes of blood
  • The final episode is very gory throughout
  • One girl is slammed repeatedly by a monster on the ground, this causes a blood splatter on the ground that gets bigger every time she hits the ground (seen from a far distance but is still very disturbing).
  • A monster attacks and eats three people. The second victim tries to run but gets stabbed in the mouth and hands by the monsters spikes and is eaten whole. The third victim is stabbed in the mouth and eaten whole.
  • A monster has a boy pinned to the ground, the boy struggles to break free, but the monster squashes his head (blood splatters) and eats him.
  • A girl is attacked by a monster. The monster starts pulling her legs apart. The girl starts screaming in pain saying " this hurts!". The monster then rips her leg off , and eats her body. Possibly the most disturbing moment of the series.

Profanity

  • Very mild

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Episode 9 has a monster attacking a school all the students are trapped inside the school with the monster. The monster kills and eats almost every single student in the school in incredibly graphic ways. NOTE: Even the off screen death are disturbing. But possibly the most horrific part is that the whole episode feels like a school shooting. This could be very hard for some to watch.
  • NOTE: Parents need to know that just because it's animated does not mean it's kid friendly. Recommend that parents make an informed decision based on the following information available about the anime. Contains some of the most graphic animated violence ever to be animated in Japan, scenes so horrific that they can strike fear in adults not to mention children, and a little nudity just for good measure.
  • Sudden monsters attack may scare some
  • Some monsters have creepy designs
  • Not for the faint of the heart. Some scenes have the ability to traumatise even adults.

Some humans get captured and are put inside of a giant sack attached to one of the rabbits, while another rabbit uses a drill attached to his hand to start drilling into the sack full of defenseless humans. Humans also get shot and run over. Extreme levels of gore, especially disturbing because of how powerless the town is.
  • Episode 1: A bat in a flash back gets cut in half. (Somewhat bloody). Saya fights a statue monster. Saya gets bashed around a fair bit, she coughs up blood. Saya kills the statue monster, she slices off its arms (bloody) and then she stabs its neck, lots of bloody present. In conclusion soft R rated violence from episode 1.
  • Episode 2: Saya fights a bat monster the fight relatively bloody, but notably shorter than other fights. Saya later fights a plant monster the fight is long Saya gets multiple injuries, (most notably a painful looking hash on the arm) Saya slays the plant in a very graphic and violent way.
