Following the 1998 Orange Co. bloody murder of well-liked father, Jack Jessee, 56, a very ill cancer patient, tedious investigations begin. Sans clues, only through dedicated detectives' dogged persistence was this cold case solved 11 years later. A conspiracy, the accused soon turned on each other. The mastermind's motive was a "11" on the cruelty scale, involving Jack's debilitating illness. Beloved Jack Jessee is gone, yet fortunately this cold, selfish killer is gone from society--forever.

Police discover a chilling connection between two victims and race to connect the dots. Keith Morrison was the investigating reporter. On August 14, 2012 in Pendleton, Oregon, Amyjane Brandhagen was stabbed to death in a bathroom at the Travelodge where she was working. On August 9, 2013 Karen Lang went for a walk along the Riverwalk in downtown Pendleton and was found the next morning unconscious, viciously assaulted. DNA evidence connects the two cases.
