I am a mother of a 19 1/2 year old son an in watching this show gave me insight on how many people around the world are also parents of children with special needs that do not grow to there age, my son is as small as a 7 or 8 yr old. I was told 19 years ago that he will not live to pass age 1,the genetic testing was done and it showed an half of an extra chromosome, and I've heard the words "failure to thrive" in the past from the doctors, I was also told it was within 1:100,000 births that this condition occurs I never knew how true that was.he is also developmental delayed because of lack of oxygen I believe at birth, from one appointment to another he has had a operation to repair his right kidney which was obstructed, but no other major surgeries since 1995,any way I said a little of my story because I'm still learning an I cant understand why my son cant talk even today. Thank you for having stories like this TLC for families like mine.
