This is a show I have a hard time expressing how I feel. I do like some of the design shows but this one was tough. The host asked a guy to commit an awful sin. The "man-owner" had to give up a precious 'man cave', in order to make a 'girlie, chicky, womany, girlie, loungy-frilly-guest-impress-retreat-room'– the thought alone is not only very gross, it is very, very, scary. And is this even legal? Alas - so much pain in such a short time. I almost cried watching this poor guy bite his tongue as his manly privacy was stripped away bit-by-bit. As the classy cheap paneling was ripped from the wall, my heart ached watching this transformation of 'guy-retreat' into an uptown 'shared' space. When the host was done, so was the man cave. Sole 'guy-control' of that sacred sanctum was surrendered and it will never be regained. I would never let these folks touch my 'man cave'. It is too terrifying and I know I will have nightmares for weeks after watching this show. Watching a guy lose his 'man cave' was just too painful and I do believe it may even be bad juju. Other than this small problem I had, the guy seemed to have a good eye and some really interesting ideas. Now that I know what he looks like though, if I see him at the store and wants to destroy my man cave…the answer will be a resounding 'no!' OK...maybe I will say yes...just don't hurt the man-cave too much
