Vikram Bhatt is taking a break from direction, a rather long one at that, and the first casualty of this decision has turned out to be Haunted 2. The sequel to his successful 3D affair, which was earlier supposed to be directed by him, is now in need of a new director who would take over the affairs. "The year gone by has been really hectic for Vikram and he can't be jumping into his next project soon", informs a source close to the director, "Earlier this year he was working non-stop on Dangerous Ishhq and Raaz 3, the schedules of which literally overlapped with each other. In the middle of this he also had to supervise the release of his other productions like Hate Story and 1920 - Evil Returns. In the process of doing that he has managed to streamline his production house (Asa) but now he has to further consolidate its prospects.

With the platform already set by producer Vikram Bhatt’s Haunted 3D in 2011, it looked easy for Karishma Kapoor, who planned her comeback to Hindi cinema after a long hiatus of nine years, to make her return an impressive one. However, Lolo’s fans are going to be everything but entertained in her reincarnation attempt in the world of Bollywood with Bvg Films and Dar Motion Pictures’ Dangerous Ishhq. Seemingly, the fact that this movie stars Karishma who was a hit in the late 90s and the early 2000’s has been taken for granted by the film maker who has turned a blind eye towards the story line.
Produced by Arun Rangachari and directed by Vikram Bhatt, Dangerous Ishhq is a woman centric story (second in a row after Vikram Bhatt’s Hate Story) where the protagonist dies several times during the course of the movie in a bid to get united with her lover.

Sonu (Emraan Hashmi) is a smooth-talking street-smart gunrunner, who has the gift of the gab and knows his trade inside out. Acp Pratap (Randeep Hooda) is a hardened maverick cop, who has a personal vendetta against the gun nexus. Marketing a film and promoting it these days can be a tough task and breaking out of the clutter is the key. Going with this thought, Vikram Bhatt has decided to take a different route to promote his upcoming film. Bhatt will be releasing around six minutes of his next Dangerous Ishhq online.
