Okay, I've only seen one episode so far. Glowing reviews made me give the series a shot. In particular, the combination of politics and the protagonists' hidden sexual relationships is central. The good reviews I've read praise this. As a journey in the recent history of the United States; politics, cold war, hunt for deviants, etc. After this episode, I kind of understand the praise about the series. But I see now that I have to be patient here. I find the relationship between the two male leads intriguing and makes me interested. For me, I think it becomes too much of the political agenda.
It looks brilliant and the setting is convincing, the series' complete insight into the 50s. It's delicious, great actors, beautifully filmed.
I choose to stay and see the rest when the episodes are released. Seeing the characters develop further and getting to know them better.
