Extremely poor vehicle for Jessica Drake
lor_6 July 2019
Jessica Drake had an early career at other labels (Sin City and Adam & Eve for instance), but her lengthy run at Wicked Pictures has been remarkable. Remarkably lousy describes this Barrett Blade feature made under her contract, a disservice to the Adult star.

The only element of note is Barrett's featuring many of his crew members and buddies in cameo roles, as the uncredited script has everyone telling tales (to the camera) about ex-girlfriend Jessica, as unflattering as the video we're watching.

Her girlfriends try to cheer Drake up by getting her back into the dating and bar pickup swing, in a series of cliched scenes that would have been instantly rejected by any self-respecting mainstream rom-com. Central gimmick is ridiculous, as Jessica is somehow attracted to a guy at the bar (Marcus London) who she immediately argues with, and it later turns out in very clumsily directed scenes that he's going to marry Danni Cole, but she's caught in flagrante delicto with another man. Blade injects himself stupidly into the cast as London's would-be best man, and the comedy of errors is stillborn and funny, just emerging as errors.
