Weak episode
pauli_gomez3 February 2023
Warning: Spoilers
This episode shows a serial killer convention (not so good as the one in Sandman) . It was mostly boring. Drake is not interesting and her random love for Betty is weird. The songs were not particularly good either. And the final confrontation with TBK was disappointing. I liked Cheryl apparently moving on with Heather but it was nothing super exciting. But I liked Betty and Archie moments in the episode, together and apart, both with Betty facing her own fears and Archie being the hero of the town. The best part was their last conversation together, which I felt it was sweet and important for the show. And proving the message that you can be good, no matter what your genes or your upbringing seem to indicate.

Instead, I do not understand why the show suddenly forgot all about Betty's superpower. She saw a lot of fans of serial killers AND TBK himself, and no aura at all. It would also have been interesting to know what auras Charles and herself (post talk with Archie) have. Still red? Nothing? That is one of the worst things in this episode.

Okay but we waited 2 weeks for a side plot?

Warning: Spoilers
After 2 weeks of looking forward to the big war that's set to hit riverdale between our newly imbued super heroes vs the charming and powerful Percival. Instead we wait 14 days for a subplot that no one cared too much about, finished with a glimpse of Percival talking for 20 seconds. Not terrible but very disappointing. Dear producers - you can do SO SO MUCH great stuff with the super powers vs Percival storyline - DON'T WASTE IT!!!

What is that?

It keeps getting worse. Sorry, but is Riverdale a comedy show now or what? But it's really bad comedy. The script and dialogues are ridiculously bad. I feel sorry for the actors who basically do a good job. The whole development of the show is tragic.

So we will never know who the TBK was...

Warning: Spoilers
This episode was both disappointing and laughable. I really like Sheik's first albums, and listened to his songs a lot back in my teens. But the songs he wrote for this musical, or the ones that were picked for the episodes. Were not as good as I would've expected. And what's with the cringeworthy kumbaya song? Archie is such a joke sometimes. Or Kevin's? He's no show man. But the most ridiculous one was the girls. With all the hair flips and weird poses. It was so unnatural and weird, it made me laugh. All of this so we would have no questions answered, except ones we didn't give a care about? Please, just end the show already.

Speechless!

Warning: Spoilers
This one of the best episodes of the series! This entire season is so well done. People are randomly upset claiming that they didn't reveal the face of tbk even though they literally did earlier in the season when Archie was abducted by tbk. If you were a true fan of the show you'd of remembered that! DUH!!! The musical performances were spot on; the emotion; the acting. The show is so much better without Hiram and I love heathers character. After a boring season 5, they completely revived the show in the best way possible. Cannot wait to see the rest of the season and also for the final season next year!

Disappointed but not surprised.

The has to be without doubt one of the worse episodes I've seen of this show, now like a normal person I stop trying to make sense of Riverdale and take everything with a bag of salt, but this is their annual musical episode and it doesn't feel like, at this point the show has done so many musical numbers in other "normal" episodes making it less especial, the writing it's as usual mediocre, the subplots unnecessary and the conclusion to the TBK storyline, that has been dragged for two seasons it's disappointing and has not substance whatsoever, it feels like they didn't know what to do with it anymore and decided to wrapped up as they could so they could move pass it to the main storyline they have going on right now.

Worst episode fo the season
jmdanley13 June 2022
The show runners couldn't help themselves, could they? After a season that had been remarkably revitalizing, they just HAD to go back to the insipid "Broadway musical" themes that worked so poorly over the past two seasons. Besides having an erratic time frame (is this over a week? A weekend? How many "mornings" are we talking here?) and just poorly written subplots thrown in, this episode throws the successful "comic book/superhero" season into the trash just so they can do the overblown "musical" numbers from a second-rate Broadway show, "American Psycho."

Not a great way to end a series, folks.

not a musical episode
gracieeee696914 June 2022
How is this classified as a musical episode?

Compared to the other seasons musicals this one was a fail.

There was like only 3 songs in the whole episode and they weren't really connected to the plot.

It sucked.

There were a lot of flaws with this episode for sure but by riverdale standards this was actually a decent episode it was fast paced which is good in a show like this where almost none of the plots are enjoyable but i thought bettys character arc in this episode was lovely to see. It was really beautiful seeing her realise she is more than just the 'black hoods daughter' and 'evil' and it was even nicer seeing archie help her with that by reminding her of the good parts within. That last scene is one of the reasons the relationship with betty and archie is so great as they love each other for all their flaws. Archie really is bettys light as well as being the person to show betty the light within herself and that is something so special about them. Considering this was the musical episode this season it was pretty good i liked how they didn't do too many songs and made them fit into the episode (apart from that one at the bachelorette party) but other than that i found the songs quite enjoyable i especially loved betty's solo where she sang about archie with flashbacks to their relationship. Only criticism is that there was once again a lack of jabitha content the writers really need to work on how they treat that relationship because it's a beautiful healthy relationship which is important for a character like jughead who has the past trauma of how his relationship with betty ended so i hope that next episode they will give jabitha more to work with.
