An insider has shared the names of several former cast members from The Challenge with no current interest in returning to the franchise.
The competition series is currently filming MTV’s Season 40, which features a star-studded cast of 40 individuals from various eras.
As that season films, The Challenge: All Stars 4 episodes arrive weekly on Paramount+, and that tends to be a shorter season.
Meanwhile, rumors about All Stars 5 recently dropped, suggesting a significant change in the cast.
With those rumors came an insider posting the names of four people from past seasons of The Challenge.
A few have also appeared on MTV’s competition series quite recently, but they have no desire to participate right now.

It’s also a perfect way to kick off Archie Horror in 2024, with a second installment of a title that garnered great success for Archie in 2023: Pop’S Chock’Lit Shoppe Of Horrors. We’re returning to this fun anthology for a second serving of terror in Fresh Meat.
Sequels are ubiquitous when it comes to horror. There’s no better franchise game in media than that of the horror sequels. Series like Nightmare on Elm Street, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Friday the 13th, Child’s Play, Saw, Scream, and—probably most notably—Halloween (of which even Archie has had a little fun with Michael Myers in the past), are not just beloved within the horror space, they’re iconic franchises with immediate recognizability. A teenager in 70s New Zealand dreams of starting a band in Jonathan Ogilvie’s nostalgic comedy, which opens Rotterdam’s international film festival
Jonathan Ogilvie is the New Zealand film-maker who made the gangster drama The Tender Hook (2008) and also Lone Wolf (2021), a postmodern spin on Conrad’s The Secret Agent. Now he hits a lighter, gentler and much more personal note in this coming-of-age comedy, which opens the International Film Festival Rotterdam (IFFR) – a nostalgiafest romance from the 70s post-punk era about a kid in New Zealand mooching around in his uncool school uniform, hanging out in the local record shop (which still has its prog-era name of Middle Earth Records) and dreaming of starting a punk band called the Daleks – though wondering if just Daleks sounds cooler — and obsessing about an unattainably sexy girl who sneers at him.

Succession creator Jesse Armstrong has talked up the benefits of writers rooms for shows of “scale and length” as he threw his support behind the ongoing writers strike.
Armstrong was in conversation with journalist Marina Hyde on the final day of the Edinburgh TV Festival on Friday in the UK, and offered his analysis of writers rooms, which is one of the key sticking points for the AMPTP and WGA negotiations in the U.S.

Charlotte Ritchie is one of the many English actors taking over the screen in You Season 4. This season, Joe finds solace in a new life in London, teaching literature at a university. The series keeps Joe’s creepy behavior, but season 4 adapts his storyline into a British whodunit. Still, it’s hard to match the stomach-churning ick that comes from watching season 1 for the first time. Ritchie, in fact, couldn’t get through it.

Addictive Netflix thriller You is finally back. And in Season 4, Charlotte Ritchie gets the unenviable honour of playing the latest obsession of creepy-yet-handsome, ‘I just can’t help falling in love with (and then probably killing) you’ Joe, aka Penn Badgley.
If you’re new to You, it’s the story of bookshop manager Joe Goldberg, who has a pathological tendency to develop dangerous infatuations with women, which usually end in lots of bloodshed and/or a prolonged stay in a plexiglass book vault. Most recently, he’s had a son, whom he was forced to abandon when escaping to a new life across the Atlantic after the nail-biting, catastrophic Series 3 finale.
These days, Joe goes by Professor Jonathan Moore, and is living it up in London town. Charlotte Ritchie’s character is savvy ice-queen and art gallery director Kate, part of a group of wealthy and privileged young Brits Joe gets tangled up with.

Charlotte Ritchie fans are very excited for Charlotte Ritchie. The star of Fresh Meat and Call The Midwife is much-loved on her home turf but her fans predict a new wave of stateside stans. “Charlotte Ritchie’s fame era incoming,” reads one tweet. Another laments: “It’s gonna be hard to gatekeep Charlotte Ritchie now.” Others skew more unhinged. A few are of the “I’d let Charlotte Ritchie step on me” variety. “That’s so worrying!” Ritchie, who is absent from social media and therefore cloistered from its deranged dialect, laughs. “Flattering – but worrying!”
Her fans are probably right. Soon an international audience will awaken to Ritchie’s charms thanks to her role in Netflix’s hit show You. The series – which, in a coup of casting, sees Gossip Girl hearthrob Penn Badgley play a serial stalker, sometimes murderer – is Ritchie’s most international foray yet. Now in its fourth season,...

Where to go next after you fake your own death, chop off two of your own toes and leave your wife’s body to burn in a house fire? According to You, the answer is London. Silky-voiced serial killer Joe (Penn Badgley) is back for a fourth run of the psychological thriller series, having escaped the woes of his unfulfilling life in the Californian suburbs. Again, with a new season comes a new home and a new identity for our problematic protagonist: Joe Quinn-Goldberg is now Jonathan Moore, an American professor at an illustrious London university, replete with thick beard, scruffy hair and a brown suede blazer. This change of scenery is one of a few big swings made in this series. For the most part, the British interventions feel fun and fresh. But as the body count continues to rocket upwards without much consequence, credulity is again stretched to breaking point.

Not that long ago, the Disney Channel meant kids’ cartoons and shows about toothy pre-teens with crossover pop careers. Now, Disney+ (Hulu in the US) has a comedy series featuring a character named Jizzlord, and nothing means anything anymore. Most directors come from humble beginnings. Peter Jackson came up from the bowels of underground horror filmmaking in New Zealand. Actually, he was pretty much the only kid with a camera spraying blood and guts across the countryside long before it would be known as the home of Middle-earth. It's been said before, but the fact that the director of what is perhaps the goriest film of all time, "Dead Alive" aka "Braindead," went on to create the greatest fantasy epic of the new millennium with the "Lord of the Rings" franchise, is nothing short of miraculous.
It's almost as if an alien from outer space beamed into Jackson's body and somehow transformed him into one of our greatest living filmmakers. To be fair, when you look back on Jackson's gore opus "Dead Alive" and his heroin-soaked sendup of the Muppets called "Meet the Feebles," the sparks of an ingenious creative force are absolutely there.

Ashton is still buzzing from the birthday love – as well as, perhaps, the early praise for her leading role in the period film drama Mr Malcolm’s List. She insists she avoids looking at reviews or engaging with what the public think, but it’s impossible to remain completely in the dark. “Obviously,...

Gemma Chan and Dominic Cooper have been quietly dating since 2018 and have rarely ever commented on their romance - until now. In a July interview with Harper's Bazaar UK, Chan opened up about speaking out against anti-Asian hate crimes during the pandemic, and how Cooper was her support system.
"I think I'm so fortunate to be in a relationship where we can talk about anything," she said. "Dom was very understanding and empathetic. I was quite open about how I was feeling during that time, and he was just incredibly supportive. I definitely didn't feel I had to shoulder everything on my own. I'm really, really lucky."
Chan and Cooper were recently spotted out together in the UK, sitting in the stands for day 10 of Wimbledon. The pair have always been private about their relationship, but photos from the event show them seeming very much in love.

Charlotte Ritchie has been in the industry for quite some time now, starting as a youngster on the overwhelming set of Harry Potter, all the way to sitcom Fresh Meat and popular series Ghosts. She can now be seen in the creative, and clever sci-fi flick Repeat, and to mark the film’s digital release, we had the pleasure of speaking to the actress on Zoom.
Ritchie talks about her character and connecting on a human level to a role encased in a hypothetical, surreal narrative. She talks about her research, and whether she herself believes in the supernatural. We also look back on the beginnings of her career on Potter, and the fun she has on Taskmaster. She talks about the Christmas return for Ghosts, whether she watches her work with her family – and on the brilliance on Succession – penned, of course, but Fresh Meats scribe Jesse Armstrong.

A day after the European premiere of season three of his HBO series Succession at the London Film Festival, the show’s creator, Jesse Armstrong, took to the stage with comedian Nish Kumar to discuss the art of screenwriting.
In between dispensing pearls of wisdom for aspiring comedy writers, Armstrong recalled a varied and eclectic career that, surprisingly, began on children’s TV with shows such as ITV’s My Parents Are Aliens and BBC’s The Queen’s Nose.
Armstrong discussed his work with veteran writing partner Sam Bain, recalling how an unsuccessful pitch for a stoner comedy called Spencer, about a “mildly sarcastic” video store clerk, was a rare misfire for the duo, who went on to create popular Channel 4 shows such as Peep Show and Fresh Meat. They would go on to collaborate with Armando Iannucci on BBC’s...

It’s not unusual, in the world of Doctor Who, for the same actor to play more than one role on screen. From classic to modern Doctor Who, Nicholas Courtney, Ian Marter, Lalla Ward, Jaqueline Hill, Jean Marsh, Adjoa Andoh, Eve Myles, Naoko Mori, Vinette Robinson and more have all played multiple parts in the whoniverse. Before she debuted as companion Martha Jones, Freema Agyeman was a Torchwood employee who fell foul of the Cybermen in series two’s ‘Army of Ghosts’. Karen Gillan was a seer in series four episode ‘The Fires of Pompeii’ before she recurred as Eleven’s companion Amy Pond. Even the Doctor has had test runs. Colin Baker played a Gallifreyan commander in season twenty before taking over from Peter Davison. Peter Capaldi appeared in ‘The Fires of Pompeii’ as well as playing John Frobisher on Torchwood before taking up residence in the Tardis.
