Warning: Spoilers
As Azerbaijan citizen I felt obliged to write review for this film. Because this is one of the best films ever produced in Soviet Azerbaijan. 1940-50s was Golden Age of Azeri Cinema.

The director of film is Alisattar Atakishiyev(1906-1990), one of the best directors of Azerbaijan cinema. Cast include Aliaga Agayev as Khan, Azer Kurbanov as Rashid, Solmaz Hatamova as Zarifa and s. Aliaga Agayev plays the Middle Ages Khan of Azerbaijan. The main object of film is magic gown which works with magical words. With the help of magical words Rashid travels to past and brings Khan to modern day. But Khan is spiteful person. He learns the words that he uses to travel to future. Childen afraid that Khan can hurt people of future and that is why Rashid and Zarifa travel to future to stop Khan.

It is one of the best examples of Azeri Cinema.

Watch and Enjoy!!!!!

I admit the movie is bad, but I watched it a million times as a kid. Nostalgic.

Some of the images Alisattar Atakishiyev finds are superb: a road, old Baku, life in Azerbaijan SSR, pulsing moon reflected in a pool of water. It is poetic film-making.

It is a film whose unhurried pace must be allowed to grow on you, but once it has, there is something engrossing about the tragedy of Khan, slowly and indirectly before our eyes.

It all adds up to an affectingly truthful movie that touches the heart as it holds a historic mirror up to reality, enriching the traditions of homegrown Azerbaijani drama. A film with a very high likability factor.
