Heading into the weekend Sony's Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle ranked #7 on the list of movies that had never reached #1 at the weekend box office. After Friday's estimates the film ranked fourth on the list, but as of today it no longer occupies a position after a stellar third weekend saw the action comedy lead the way at the weekend box office while topping $500 million globally. Additionally, Universal's release of Blumhouse's Insidious: The Last Key finished with a strong second place debut and even outperformed the franchise's third installment as 2018 is officially underway and off to a solid start. Detective Pikachu Movie Casts Kathryn Newton As Female Lead

For those that need a refresher, yes there will be a live-action Pokemon movie. No, we do not have a release date yet, but we know that it will be in the hands of Legendary Pictures and the story will revolve around the Detective Pikachu character from the Great Detective Pikachu video game. Now, we have our female lead. Kathryn Newton will be the female counterpart to Justice Smith in this movie. Newton is known from HBO’s Big Little Lies, CBS’s Gary Unmarried, and Paranormal Activity 4. According to Hollywood Reporter, Newton will play Lucy who is “a sassy journalist who goes on an adventure with the boy, played by Smith, and Pikachu.” There is no word on if Lucy’s Psyduck will make an appearance,

Paranormal Activity Reboot Could Happen at Blumhouse

Paranormal Activity Reboot Could Happen at Blumhouse
Are you ready for another reboot that may be happening just a little bit too soon? It looks like one might be on the way, if one of the chief creative minds behind the Paranormal Activity franchise has anything to say about it. That's right, horror movie fans. It looks like Blumhouse Pictures would be open to a Paranormal Activity reboot, if writer Christopher Landon has an idea for one.

Jason Blum, head of Blumhouse Productions, and Christopher Landon, are both currently out promoting Happy Death Day, which was produced by Blumhouse and directed by Landon. They recently spoke with Cinepop and the subject of a possible Paranormal Activity reboot came up. While the studio doesn't currently have any plans for one, Blum is very open to the idea, if Landon has an idea for another movie in the very successful found footage horror franchise. Here's what he had to say about it.

Catfish Filmakers Negotiating to Direct Capcom’s Mega Man

  • Cinelinx
I know he’s existed out of a standalone game for quite some time but two directors want to bring Mega Man to the silver screen.

I have always liked Mega Man games. Since its debut on the Nintendo in 1987 the Blue Bomber also known as Rockman has starred in many games spanning many consoles whether they are home or portable. Recently mobile versions of the classics have been released but there’s not a lot of console love for old Mega as a standalone title. Maybe that will be changing soon because Henry Joost and Ariel Schulamn (Catfish, Paranormal Activity 4&5) want to bring this iconic character to life on the big screen. Apparently negotiations between Capcom and Twentieth Century Fox are in the final stages for the duo to pen and direct the full length feature.

Mega Man is the story of Doctor Light and Doctor Wily the

Denise Richards: examining her recent straight-to-dvd movies

Kirsten Howard Jul 19, 2016

From Blonde And Blonder and You Stupid Man, through to Edmond: we go through the recent straight-to-dvd films of Denise Richards...

So far in this series of pieces that look at the straight-to-dvd or VOD movies of some of our favourite actors who have fallen on hard times, we’ve only looked at men (to date: Bruce Willis, Nicolas Cage, John Cusack and John Travolta). That’s because, mostly, actresses find themselves almost completely out of the game once they hit 30ish – an unnecessary full stop that a lot of us would like to see removed in the future.

Denise Richards, sadly, is no different. After marrying a man she found herself in an abusive relationship with, her career climb stumbled and she was forced back down into TV roles, where she’s currently still putting in the hours.

Richards had a sparkling, American Dream-like start in life.

New Nerve Trailer Teases A Daring Movie

We’ve had a lengthy run of Young Adult fiction adaptations, and almost all of them have fallen into one of two categories: ‘young adult bucks the system, finds themselves, and saves the world’ (The Hunger Games, The Maze Runner, Divergent, The Fifth Wave), or ‘young adult finds tragic love’ (If I Stay, The Fault In Our Stars, The Spectacular Now, any movie based on a Nicholas Sparks novel). But, this year brings us Nerve, which is potentially something quite different from the usual Young Adult adaptations that flow relentlessly into movie theatres.

Based on the 2012 novel of the same name by Jeanne Ryan, this film takes a large swipe at the current culture of reality shows, YouTube stars and gaming. Nerve is the name of a fictional online game that allows anonymous viewers to manipulate the actions of players for their own entertainment. High school senior Vee (Emma Roberts

Watch Margot Robbie's American Psycho Morning Routine Video for Vogue

Here's a fantastically entertaining video that features Margot Robbie recreating Patrick Bateman’s morning routine scene from the cult favorite film American Psycho. The parody video is a shot-for-shot recreation that was perfectly executed by directors Ariel Schulman and Henry Joost, the filmmaking team behind Paranormal Activity 3 and Paranormal Activity 4. It was released by Vogue and fans of Robbie and American Psycho are sure to enjoy it.

What does it take to become one of Hollywood’s most sought-after leading ladies? Australian-born Margot Robbie has an idea: for starters, a studied beauty routine so precise it borders on psychopathic. See the 25-year-old discuss the importance of being born with a six-pack and the beautifying powers of placenta cream in this American Psycho–spoofing original short directed by Ariel Schulman and Henry Joost.

One of my favorite parts of the video includes a shot of a fake script for

Margot Robbie Spoofs American Psycho

Shot by Ariel Schulman and Henry Joost (Catfish, Paranormal Activity 4), it’s almost a shot for shot re-imagining of Patrick Bateman’s morning routine, with some really funny touches thrown in, such as Hamilton replacing Les Miserables and a fake script for a movie called Harley Quinn v Harley Davidson.
