Definitely my favorite episode of the whole series. Amazing. Chase was always one of my favorites, and I got to see everything from him. Anxiety, passion, fear, cander, love, disappointment, sadness. It's as if the writers could summarize Chase's life in one episode. And they did it beautifully.

Getting close to the end
fortionat120 February 2012
I don't normally write reviews for TV shows, but it is no big secret House is one of my all time favorite TV shows. That said I've never written a review for a House episode. I am sad. I know this is nearing the end of a great series. I am pleased to say that season 8 is now becoming right up there with the best of them though I was very critical early in season 8. And this episode, Chase, is by far the best episode of the season, a continuation of S8 Episode 11 Nobody's Fault.

Now that there may be only 6 to 8 episodes left for the show, for first time in the history of the series the complete focus was on a character other than House. Yes there have been episodes that the theme was geared towards a particular individual, like Taub or Forman or 13 (or Chase when he killed the dictator) but always the main gist was around House. This episode was so beautiful, shown from Chase's view and the conflicts within Chase. I am so happy they finally tribute his character so well.

I really hope they at least do something like this with Forman, the only other character left that like Chase has been there since the get go. I did not put in spoiler alerts so I won't go into detail on the story line, needless to say this was one of the best acted and well written episodes of the entire series. Bravo.

We connect with others through pain
jpcyr31 March 2020
It's the second time in all the 8th season of House, that I really connect with the show. This is with the two episodes where House is at the psychiatric institute. That in my mind, the best written episode.

We know how House can be an ass, how the pain made him auto-destructive and lonely. After 8 season, we get it. It's really nice to get an episode like this one where you can truly feel the humanity, and not just the despair of House.

Conflict of Conscience.

What a great episode! Having had in some way similar religious experience, I can relate. So the episode has significant meaning to me. So once again I state "what a great episode".

Chase this one down
Isawthat21 December 2019
After over 160 episodes and several viewings of house over the years both while new and in renrun I now have all the episodes to watch when I want, and find I have missed several over the years, this being one of them, and to my surprise I find this to be the most engaging episode I've watched, being Australian you'd expect I'd align with Jesse Spencer, but not so much, not that I found him erksome or a character I disliked, I have come to appreciate him more over the later end of the show, but this episode has to be the best episode of of what I have come to realise is my favourite show of all time.

Love for House and Chase
beethi296 April 2021
Warning: Spoilers
The way Chase nodded with House. I don't know what it's called but he obviously respects House a lot. Chase has solved 2 cases in the past seasons, from then, I always thought Chase is becoming like House. I can't guess what will happen next. But I want chase to be like House. Because I love them both.

Warning: Spoilers
This episode broke my heart for Chase. I honestly wish so badly this had worked out for him. I never felt he truly loved what's her name, but Just in this one single episode I felt his love for her. I really wish it had worked/ I cried at the end! Poor chase 😢

Chase finally got his solo episode and it's a strong 9!

Warning: Spoilers
Despite the fact that Chase got his solo episode after TEN YEARS (I tend to think it's just a horrible accident and nobody's fault), this one is very, very good. Probably my favourite episode from the 8th season. This episode has all: the drama, the story, character development (Chase deserved better spot much earlier). The ending scene to me is powerful and has one thing to us to understand: this it it. The team just jumps to another case and you know it - soon it all will end and we're watching the final quiet before the storm.

One of the best episodes of TV
bizzarehdi26 December 2023
I haven't actually wrote a review before and ive watched alot of fantastic films and tv shows, but this episode resonated with me like no other. I truly believe its the second best episode of house behind house's head and I'm suprised the score is so low.

I'm not going to give a summary of the episode I just wanted somewhere to voice how highly I rate it, the parallels between house and chase which have slowly been built over 8 whole seasons are apparent and fantastic even down to the limp. It's incredibly hard to tell normally what house's feelings are for someone so.when you see potentially his.most genuine affirmations at the end with his nod to chase its so impactful. Such a small thing - a nod - but it feels so huge.

Chase and House
maegan-joy521 April 2024
Warning: Spoilers
In an episode centered around Chase as he seeks healing and direction, really we get one of the most intimate looks into House himself as he watches his long-time colleague (and someone he actually cares about) process the tragedy that he takes blame for. In the tender final scenes, the dialogue and delivery struck me so profoundly when it first aired, that I have often thought of it during the past decade. I still felt it wrench watching it again, and reflected how our trauma, our relationships, and especially our choices, make us who we ultimately become. This is my favorite episode of the whole series, and it's fitting to be placed where it is in the timeline.
