A wild and unpredictable first week of the new NFL season concluded here. We are all a lot better off with football back in our lives and they lucked into an intriguing matchup here.
Everyone expected Denver to easily win this one, but they struggled throughout the game. Russell Wilson and the Broncos seemed to move the ball down the field at will, but could not punch it into the end zone with the frequency you would expect.
Geno Smith looked awkward at times, but it seems like Seattle did a good job tailoring an offense for is skillset. He overcame a ferocious Broncos defense and hit some big throws.
A quality win for seattle at home. It was an upset for sure, and proof that maybe they may not end up as bad this season as we thought they might. I certainly have my doubts about that, but only time will tell I suppose.
