Rumor: Avengers: Secret Wars Will Finally Address Spider-man: No Way Home's Venom Post-Credits Scene
In Venom: Let There Be Carnage's surprise post-credits scene, Eddie Brock found himself mysteriously transported to the McU's Earth-616. The symbiote caught sight of Spider-Man on a news report and was clearly interested in tracking the web-slinger down.
There was no sign of him in Spider-Man: No Way Home until another stinger revealed that Eddie had decided against leaving Mexico.
When Doctor Strange unleashed his spell, Venom was sent home but left a piece of the symbiote behind. The stage was then set for Peter Parker to eventually get his own alien suit, though we still don't quite know how it would travel across the border to New York City.
In the three years since Spider-Man: No Way Home was released, we've been left to assume that this was a Sony-mandated add-on which isn't likely to lead anywhere.
However, according to a new rumour shared by The Cosmic Circus' @AlexFromCC,...

Doctor Doom has been touted to be one of the main antagonists of the MCU as the studio’s plans with Kang the Conqueror seemed to have taken a back burner due to Jonathan Majors’ firing. The character has been one of the most beloved villains in the Marvel universe and fans have been waiting for his arrival into the franchise.
Ahead of his rumored appearance in Avengers: Secret Wars, Doctor Doom made a cameo in the Disney Plus series X-Men ‘97. The latest episode of the series sees him aligned with the Zero Tolerance group, which is headed by Bastion and also has Zemo. However, Doom’s involvement with the group has irked fans as the character is not as villainous as the others.

Alan Silvestri is a legendary composer who counts like likes of Back to the Future, Forrest Gump, Lilo & Stitch, and Ready Player One among his many credits. He's also something of an icon in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Responsible for creating the now unmistakable theme for Earth's Mightiest Heroes first heard in 2012's The Avengers, Silvestri kicked off his MCU run by lending his talents to Captain America: The First Avenger. He'd later return for Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame.
Total Film recently caught up with the composer and asked if he's planning to work on another Marvel movie.
"Well, it looks like that could be happening, I just can’t talk about it [Laughs]," he teased. "I love that universe, for sure." While The Fantastic Four seems like a possibility for Silvestri, we'd be shocked if Marvel Studios isn't lining him up for Avengers 5 and Avengers: The Kang Dynasty...

Chris Evans first played Steve Rogers in 2011's Captain America: The First Avenger and, after multiple appearances across the MCU (including in the Avengers and Spider-Man franchises), the actor finally bid farewell to the role in Avengers: Endgame.
Steve has been M.I.A. ever since, though his final fate still hasn't been revealed to us. However, with the Multiverse in play, there are endless possibilities regarding Captain America's return in Avengers: Secret Wars.
Over the weekend, it was reported that Evans is now a lock for that movie. While we anticipate him assembling alongside the other original six Avengers as the "classic" Cap, we'd bet on the actor playing a few different Variants as well.
Below, you'll find some of the most exciting, intriguing, and likely possibilities...

The MCU has faced some tough times lately, with many big movies not doing well and even breaking some bad records. A lot of the new stuff coming up gets trashed on social media before it even comes out.
Take ‘Captain America: Brave New World,’ for example. There’s a chunk of fans who just won’t accept Sam Wilson as Captain America, even though Steve Rogers got a good ending to his story.
However, most fans are pretty pumped about the upcoming ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ and ‘Secret Wars.’ A big reason is the possibility of different versions of characters. ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ is already buzzing with talk of 25 cameos and variants, and ‘Secret Wars’ is expected to double that once the media blitz kicks in. Marvel’s well aware of the hype, which is why they dropped an official reference to it during CinemaCon. In one scene, Deadpool starts...

MCU has been on sort of a downward spiral recently, with several of its biggest productions failing, setting unflattering records. Most of the upcoming productions also get negative feedback on social media even before they are released.
Just take a look at ‘Captain America: Brave New World’ and a decent-sized part of the fandom that refuses to accept Sam Willson as Captain America despite Steve Rogers getting a perfect closure for his story arc.
Almost the entire fandom is however excited about the upcoming ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ and ‘Secret Wars,’ mostly due to hope fueled by the concept of variants. ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ already has 25 rumored & confirmed cameos and variants, and ‘Secret Wars,’ when the media coverage of the movie starts to the fullest, will easily have double that. Fox’s X-Men movies may have brought some of the most fan-favorite mutants to live-action, but they have struggled as far as fan reactions go. Often criticized for one thing or the other, particularly over poorly written characters to time inconsistencies, fans and critics have found several reasons to remain unsatisfied.
Hugh Jackman as Logan / Wolverine in X-Men: The Last Stand
Undoubtedly, the movies’ greatest gift to fans has been casting Hugh Jackman as Wolverine. While his portrayal of the iconic character has left many captivated, he has often overshadowed other X-Men characters. And one Avengers: Endgame writer has a bone to pick with Fox movies for stealing one X-Men’s spotlight and handing it over to Wolverine.

X-Men ’97 has had massive success among the Marvel fans. The animated series, which is a revival and continuation of the ’90s X-Men show, has generated immense hype. However, it has also attracted very strong criticism regarding the character of Rogue. The fans did not appreciate how the show pulled off some insane de-sexualization of the curvaceous figure of Rogue.
Rogue in X-Men ’97
Since the first trailer dropped, many fans who found their first love in Rogue in the 90s complained on the internet that her physique was drastically changed in the new animation. In some scenes, Rogue’s butt looked extremely flat. However, the Rogue voice actress, Lenore Zann, seems to have found the perfect way to address the criticism by paying homage to the iconic “America’s Ass.”

With Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame being such box office successes, many fans assumed that the Russo Brothers (Anthony and Joe Russo) would return to direct Avengers: Secret Wars. But in the years that followed, a lot changed.
During that period, the Russo Brothers helmed a few flicks through their Agbo company. Among them are the crime drama Cherry, starring Tom Holland and Ciara Bravo, and the action thriller The Gray Man, featuring Ryan Gosling and Chris Evans.

Following the massive success of “Avengers: Infinity War” and “Avengers: Endgame,” there was a time when the Russo Brothers were the biggest filmmakers on the planet, and most fans presumed, don’t worry, they’ll be back to direct “Avengers: Secret Wars.”

The Russos, via their Agbo company, have delivered two films in that time that they themselves have directed, the drama “Cherry” with Tom Holland for Apple and the would-be Netflix franchise “The Gray Man” with Ryan Gosling and Chris Evans, an expensive affair that never took off with critics.

Sam Raimi found great success with the ‘Spider-Man’ film trilogy, each installment grossing over $800 million worldwide. However, plans for further sequels were halted due to script issues. Disappointed with ‘Spider-Man 3,’ Raimi aimed to redeem the franchise with ‘Spider-Man 4,’ which unfortunately never came to fruition. In 2022, he expressed regret about not ending the series on a high note.
Despite this, Raimi’s involvement with Spider-Man continued as he and Marc Webb served as creative consultants for Marvel Studios’ ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home,’ directed by Jon Watts. Recently, rumors have circulated about Raimi directing ‘Avengers: Secret Wars,’ the highly anticipated installment in the ‘Avengers’ franchise.
Recently, Raimi stated his desire to direct the final Phase 6 movie, but unfortunately, the studio hasn’t approached him yet.

The MCU has a bunch of projects lined up for release in 2024, 2025, and beyond. While several movies are currently in the works and affected by strikes, none are as highly anticipated as ‘Avengers 5’ and ‘Avengers: Secret Wars.’ These films are expected to continue the MCU’s tradition of epic crossovers.
Just like ‘Infinity War’ and ‘Endgame,’ these two movies will be released only a year apart. However, unlike before, they won’t be filmed back-to-back, and they’ll be developed by two separate teams of writers and directors.
Very little is known about the director of ‘Secret Wars.’ The latest rumors suggested Sam Raimi as a top contender, but Raimi himself denied these rumors, stating that the studio hasn’t approached him yet. Despite the lack of official information, fans are speculating, and one recent name dropped is Quentin Tarantino. He’s supposedly retiring and working on his last film.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe is in desperate need of a breath of fresh air and it seems like Deadpool & Wolverine vows to be just that. Continuing the Multiverse Saga, the film will see Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine reunite with Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool, finally paving the way for the X-Men to get into the MCU. All in all, the fans have a ton of expectations from the film.
Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds in Deadpool & Wolverine (2024)The recently released trailer shows a depressed Wolverine variant who is drinking his sorrows away. But what happened to the mutant that caused him to be so devastated? Well, in the trailer it is revealed that this variant had “let down” his universe and a new MCU theory just might explain how the destruction of Wolverine’s universe ties him into Avengers: Secret Wars thanks to none other than Kang the Conqueror.

Thanos made his live-action debut in The Avengers with Damion Poitier playing the iconic MCU character. After Josh Brolin took over the role, Thanos appeared as the primary antagonist of the Infinity Saga.

Thanos’ MCU appearance was successful and Brolin made quite the spectacle of the role. However, Robert Downey Jr’s Iron Man sacrificed himself to kill off the villain. Now, with the Kang debacle after Jonathan Majors’ firing from Marvel Studios, the future of the Marvel big bad for Avengers: Secret Wars remained uncertain in many ways. Every time a movie buff hears the name of Marvel’s Ghost Rider, perhaps the first name to ring the bell must be Nicolas Cage’s, for he embodied the anti-hero the most immaculately in his own solo movie series on the character. In fact, his performance was so on-point as Johnny Blaze that many would argue that no one could embody him better than Cage.
Ghost Rider in the comics.
But Cage couldn’t have pulled off this incredible feat just like that. If anything, he went to great lengths and did whatever it required to channel his inner Blaze to give fans as remarkable a performance as he did. And these great lengths that he went to have made it more than evident that perhaps no other actor could play the anti-hero better than the 60-year-old legend.

The MCU has a lineup of projects slated for release in 2024, 2025, and beyond. While several movies are currently in development and affected by strikes, none are as highly anticipated as ‘Avengers 5’ and ‘Avengers: Secret Wars.’ These films are expected to uphold the MCU’s tradition of grand crossovers.
Similar to ‘Infinity War’ and ‘Endgame,’ these two movies will be released a year apart. However, unlike the previous films, they will not be filmed consecutively. Instead, they will be developed by separate teams of writers and directors.
Although details about both movies are scarce, reliable insider Jeff Sneider reports that ‘Avengers: Secret Wars’ will be an extensive 5-hour film divided into two parts. This information was shared in his InSneider newsletter.

An era that began in 2008 with the release of the first Iron Man is coming to a close. Then we had character introductions, the 2012 Avengers, endless comic book arcs on Earth-616, ending with the confrontation with Thanos and the beginning of the Multiverse.
Some prefer to use the umbrella term 'The Infinity Saga' as applied to the period from 2008 to 2019, but we would like to discuss a broader time period that is essentially unfinished. After all, some characters and their portrayers who were introduced long before Endgame are still involved in the MCU.
Under such circumstances, one of the longest-lived sub-franchises is Ant Man, which is technically still going on, and Paul Rudd's character is likely to return more than once. But what about the original Ant Man, Dr. Hank Pym, played by the excellent Michael Douglas, who has been in the MCU since 2015?

The Marvel Cinematic Universe is in shambles right now, as all of its new releases are a massive box office disaster, earning only the criticism of the critics and the heated reviews from the fans. Now, it looks like the franchise needs a savior, and it could be none other than Christopher Nolan.

Michael Douglas played Hank Pym, the original Ant-Man, in the MCU. Douglas has appeared in all three Ant-Man films, starting with the first one in 2015. However, he was not entirely happy working in the latest film in the trilogy since the filmmakers failed to implement his one wish for his character. Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania was a disaster at the box office and it is highly doubtful whether Douglas would appear in another MCU film.
Michael Douglas as Hank Pym in Ant-Man
Douglas’ Hank Pym is a former S.H.I.E.L.D. agent, entomologist, and physicist. He was a friend and colleague of John Slattery’s Howard Stark and Hayley Atwell’s Peggy Carter. Interestingly, Douglas chose the Ant-Man role after a few failed projects.

With Deadpool & Wolverine being the only film from Marvel Studios getting a release this year and Deadpool’s fourth-wall-breaking meta-humor nature, it stands to reason that the company has a ton of fun with the marketing. Even before being part of the MCU, the first Deadpool film got to play around with concepts as 20th Century Fox released the R-rated movie on Valentine’s Day in 2016. Billboards of Ryan Reynolds and his romantic lead, Morena Baccarin, were showcased in a very rom-com-driven image that made it look as far from a vulgar, violent superhero comedy as it could be.
It was said that the Deadpool & Wolverine footage previewed at this year’s CinemaCon was preceded by a PSA that also featured both characters. The Hollywood Reporter is now revealing that the PSA may now be coming to a theater near you. In the spot, Reynolds’ Wade Wilson is...

At CinemaCon this year, Kevin Feige said ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ is F***** awesome, dropping the first F-bomb. Since it’s an “R” rated movie, he can say that, fitting Deadpool’s character. Tom Hiddleston has been a key part of many MCU projects, often playing a villain who poses a threat to the Avengers and humanity. While Loki was mostly seen as a nuisance, fans grew fond of him for his occasional displays of humanity and efforts to reconcile with his older brother.
However, things took a turn with the release of ‘Loki’ season 1, where the character embarked on a more heroic path while still retaining his mischievous nature. The show’s immediate success wasn’t a shocker, so it came as no surprise when it became the first MCU Disney+ series to be renewed for a second season.
The second season took a surprising turn, featuring one of the most significant sacrifices in the MCU. Loki stepped into the role of the god of stories, succeeding He Who Remains and ensuring the stability of the multiverse by creating Yggdrasil, at the cost of his own future.

Tom Hiddleston appeared in plenty of MCU projects, mostly as a villain and a threat to Avengers & humans in general. For most of Loki’s career, he was more of a nuisance than anything, but fans took quite a liking for the character due to brief and fleeting moments of humanity, and ultimate efforts to make things right between him and his older brother.
Everything changed with the release of ‘Loki’ season 1, Loki’s character ventured in a different, more heroic direction keeping his mischievous character traits. The show was an instant success, so it didn’t surprise us in the slightest that it was the first MCU Disney+ show to get a second season.
The second season was something else entirely, in a showcase of perhaps the second biggest sacrifice in the MCU, Loki replaced He Who Remains as the god of stories, creating Yggdrasil and sacrificing his future to keep the multiverse together.

Tom Hiddleston has something to say about his return as Loki in the MCU. When asked about coming back as Loki, the Marvel star kept things vague. Is he teasing a big comeback, or has Loki’s story really come to an end?
Tom Hiddleston as Loki in Marvel
In a big series finale moment, Loki gives up his life to save the multiverse. He destroys the Tva’s time machine (the Temporal Loom), which controls the main timeline, and takes on a new role.
Without the Loom, lots of new timelines appear. With his new power, Loki becomes the ‘God of Stories,’ connecting these timelines to keep the multiverse steady.
Suggested“I might not be allowed to tell you”: Tom Hiddleston Isn’t Even Allowed to Confirm if Loki Will Return in Upcoming Marvel Movie
