An Ulli Lommel Protégé?
sgcim22 October 2015
Warning: Spoilers
I was positive that this was another Ulli Lommel flick, It had all of his signatures: terrible acting, terrible writing, terrible direction, billions of flashbacks, flash forwards, flash everything, obsession with a serial killer, weird actors that could only be in a Lommel flick, a little nudity, and the typical Lommel murder set-pieces. To my surprise, there is actually someone out there who seems to have modeled himself after the 'master'! I don't agree with the thousands of people who give Lommel's films one star; there is some imagination going on in all of Lommel's films, and Slaughter Daughter shows the same type of imagination. The only problem is the general incompetence that truly makes it worthy of the 'master' himself.

Never leave any alive. You got to kill them all.
nogodnomasters11 October 2017
Warning: Spoilers
Farrah (Nicola Fiore) is a mentally ill former beauty queen who develops an unhealthy passion for convicted serial killer Jackson Miles (Tim Dax). She meets with Miles to get instructions on the best way to kill her family. Mom (Leesa Rowland) is getting remarried and has a relationship with her other daughter (Deborah Das).

The film needed better dialogue. Christine Hoberg did a great job as the wedding singer, but the rest of the soundtrack was hit and miss. Lloyd Kaufman managed a cameo as the minister, which always changes the mood whenever he is in the film, serious role or not. The cast was mostly from his former films. The ending, which you expected, took too long to arrive.

Guide: F-word. Sex. Nudity (Nicola Fiore, Tim Dax-brief, Danny Morales-butt)

Better than expected indie horror
Leofwine_draca17 June 2017
Warning: Spoilers
SLAUGHTER DAUGHTER is a bit better than your usual garden variety indie horror film. It has proper characterisation, for one, and if it's still rather cheap and unwieldy, at least it resembles a proper movie more than most. The attempts at character depth means that it's more involving than expected and the story, about a maladjusted young woman who becomes convinced she needs to kill her overbearing mother, is quite interesting. It's still cheap and silly, with unconvincing acting at times, but at least it keeps you watching throughout and the ending is suitably bloody.

A cool idea that goes nowhere
christina-faye1 April 2013
Warning: Spoilers
I'm a huge fan of any movie featuring killer females. Almost any, except this one did not keep my attention. I feel both Nicola Fiora and Leesa Rowland are decent actresses and did a good job but due to the unfocused poorly structured script there performances are lost in the muck. And most of the supporting cast can't act so that doesn't help.

More blood and nudity might have helped the many boring parts. I fast forwarded through 50% of this movie. By the middle it's hard to keep focused on something that feels like watching paint dry. Overuse of colored gels and costume and makeup that feels like a high school play production. Cool name, cool idea but does not pan out.

OK-ness achieved
maodom24 July 2016
If you know what you are in the mood for and what you are getting, Slaughter Daughter is OK. If you're in the mood for a poorly written, poorly acted slaughter with a lot of promise of T&A and some delivery, this will do.

Nicola Fiore is a beautiful woman, worth keeping your eyes on, weirdly moreso when she starts hacking into people. The only interesting acting in the film came from the man who play's Fiore's character's mentor in psychopathy, Tim Dax, who clearly felt no need to mentor anyone as an actor.

Worth the time unless you were hoping for something worth the time.

Another Hollyweird Bomb. What a horrible movie. I would've gave it a 2nd star if they would've unleashed the moms breaststroke. But noooo.

About the film in my opinion
shades2511 November 2012
I saw this film for the very first time when I was at Spooky Empire and they had this film playing at their Oct 2012 Freakshow Horror Film Festival. I really did like this film and thought everyone did a great job in it. I was really very impressed with Nicola's performance in this film. She can truly pull off a wicked lady when she needs to. For an indie film I would have to say, this is a must see for everyone into horror. It was really great to actually meet some of the cast from the film as well after the showing. The film won 2 awards that night!!! I have to say they all really pulled it off. Way to go to everyone involved..you guys ROCKED IT!!!! Everyone that hasn't seen this film yet, should for sure put it on your list of indie films to watch.

Slaughter Daughter
a_baron8 March 2016
With a title like "Slaughter Daughter" you'd probably expect a lot of blood, and you won't be disappointed, but this is far from your usual teen slasher flick, rather it is a disturbing tale of a young woman's madness. Farrah is seriously disturbed; she has a history of doing things to herself she shouldn't, like slicing off one of her fingers and posting it to a serial killer, a truly gruesome scene that. Obviously a bit of poetic licence is needed to visualise how the letter got to him and how she managed to meet him face to face, even if she did know one of guards. His visiting her in her bedroom is unambiguously unreal; it is clear she is delusional as well as a danger to herself, but why does she want to murder her mother, is it just because she is remarrying to a man Farrah does not particularly like, and why must so many others die?

This film scores for originality, but those of a nervous disposition should not watch it. Vampires and murderous apparitions may give us a superficial fright or two, but we know they are not real. An attractive young woman you wouldn't give a second glance except for the usual reasons is a different proposition entirely.

Not too many characters and a reasonable running time!
LasKeepsItReal13 August 2015
Warning: Spoilers
I saw Slaughter Daughter today and my following review will contain minor spoilers throughout.

Farrah who is a young twenty something former beauty queen has been dumped at the altar on her wedding day, understandably upset although she reacts more neurotically to the situation than most people would have. After she spends some time in an asylum to recover she is released and comes back home to live with her materialistic mother Phyllis and accepting aunt Reema.

It is clear that Farrah is unwanted by her mother who regularly patronizes and insults her. Farrah becomes obsessed with a serial killer serving time in prison and plans to follow in his ways especially when she finds out her mother is getting married again.

When her brother, his girlfriend and her step father to be arrive for the wedding celebrations things take a more disturbing and violent turn, climaxing with Farrah extracting her revenge during the reception in order to her goals into perspective. Will Farrah succeed in becoming the perfect killer? Will Farrah and her mother resolve their bitter and ongoing feud?

I thought the main actress Nicola Fiore did a good job as her character Farrah in the film which i felt suited her role and Leesa Rowland as her mother Phyllis was interesting to watch with her one liners and selfishness. Some scenes and dialouge i found to be a little over the top at times although considering this is a horror film could see it as being humorous or even intentional.

I also watched the extra features for the film including the webisodes about Farrah's times in the asylum which help explain her character in more depth and a few deleted scenes which further explain her mother's motives which to be honest i could tell very quickly when watching the film.

I would give this film 6 out of 10.

Cult Favorite with Gorgeous Lead: Leesa Rowland
Entertainment-News8 June 2018
There is something to be said for classic, scary cult films. It's an acquired taste and and can become an addiction. And, behind every memorable horror film is a fantastic leading lady. In this case, it is the beautiful actress Leesa Rowland who lights up the scream screen.

Loyal fans who love these types of movies will truly enjoy Slaughter Daughter.

Excellent
byprozac5 September 2017
Former beauty queens can be hell to deal with and when one plots the death of her own bullying mother things get serious. Add in a serial killer, and the viewer is in for a ride. Leesa Rowland is excellent as Phyllis Adjani and always fun to watch. Of all the versions of this movie, this is my favorite.
