In a new international clip of Fox’s “Alien: Covenant,” we catch a first glimpse of the Spineburster — and it’s pretty gruesome. In the clip, titled “Let Me Out,” Faris (Amy Seimetz) busts down a hallway only to find Karine (Carmen Ejogo) trapped in a room. She begs to be let out, but Faris resists to keep the inspection from spreading. Behind Karine, another crew member is seen in excruciating pain with his spine ripping itself apart. This is, of course, damage done by an alien. Ridley Scott’s new movie has crew members of the colony ship Covenant bound for a remote planet.

A Chicago mother has been arrested after authorities allegedly discovered the burned body of her 4-year-old son, who reportedly sometimes went days without being fed and was so tiny that investigators thought he was a 9-month-old baby. Before his death, Manuel Aguilar, 4, was allegedly kept in a back storage room that constantly smelled of urine and feces, often was allegedly forced to remain completely naked because he would urinate on himself, suffered alleged beatings that once resulted in a black eye, and was so skinny that his ribs were showing, according to Cook County prosecutors. Two weeks ago, Michael Shannon told Vulture a humorous anecdote about getting stuck in a bathroom on the set of Batman v Superman: "I was in my costume, and I couldn’t use my fingers because in the sequel I have flippers instead of hands. So I had these wax flippers on my fingers, and I couldn’t open the door, and I could hear Zack [Snyder] being like, 'Where’s Shannon? Where the fuck is he?' and the whole crew was standing around. I was like, knocking on the door with my flippers, 'Let me out of here!'" A hilarious story, and one that was widely aggregated because of the apparent revelation that Shannon's General Zod would indeed return for the Man of Steel sequel (and also because of the flipper thing). But now Shannon tells The Daily Beast that he made the whole thing up as a joke,...

Michael Shannon played General Zod in the 2013 "Man of Steel." Even though the character died in the film, the actor will reprise his role in "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice," possibly as only a corpse. In a new interview with Vulture, Shannon revealed a detail about the character during a story about using a restroom. "I was in my costume, and I couldn't use my fingers because in the sequel I have flippers instead of hands," he said. "So I had these wax flippers on my fingers, and I couldn't open the door, and I could hear Zack [Snyder] being like, 'Where's Shannon? Where the f*ck is he?' and the whole crew was standing around. I was like, knocking on the door with my flippers, 'Let me out of here!'" "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" is set to hit theaters on March 25th, 2016.

General Zod's neck-snapping demise at the close of Man of Steel caused a royal ruckus among the fan community, but it sounds like the character is going to be back for round two with Superman in next year's follow-up.
The recent Batman v Superman trailer showed Michael Shannon's Zod being unzipped in a body bag, teasing a further appearance from the Kryptonian warlord.
Now, Shannon himself has given further hints about his character's resurrection... and bizarrely it includes flippers!
"I was in my costume, and I couldn't use my fingers because in the sequel I have flippers instead of hands," Vulture quoted him as saying.

With Zack Snyder's "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" showing the fallout of the Superman/General Zod battle at the end of "Man of Steel," one key element is that Zod's body will figure into the plot somehow.
Minor Spoilers Ahead
As suggested by the trailer, Jesse Eisenberg's Lex Luthor seems to have Zod's body in the film and has likely experimented on it. That seems to be the case according to Vulture who spoke with Zod actor Michael Shannon about his brief return in the upcoming film. He revealed at one point on the set he was trapped in a portable toilet due to hand prosthetics:

Michael Shannon’s General Zod was dispatched by Superman in infamously brutal fashion at the end of Man Of Steel, but his corpse was spotted in the latest Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice trailer, so we know he’ll still have some part to play in the follow-up. Now, details from a new interview with the actor suggest that he’ll have a bit more to do in the movie than just lying on a slab.
In an interview with Vulture, Shannon recounts an amusing set anecdote about getting stuck in a portapotty and not being able to open the door because of…the flippers?
“I was in my costume, and I couldn’t use my fingers because in the sequel I have flippers instead of hands. So I had these wax flippers on my fingers, and I couldn’t open the door, and I could hear Zack [Snyder, the director] being like,...

Of the many problems Superman fans had with Man of Steel, the fact that the Big Blue Boy Scout snapped the neck of Michael Shannon’s General Zod rubbed up people the wrong way the most. But as we saw in the latest Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice trailer, Zod would be making a return of sorts. Sure, we just saw him in a body bag, but as all know from watching superhero movies death is played with fast and loose with the most. Now, speaking with Variety, Shannon related a story from the set, involving an ill fated trip to the toiler, that reveals a possible, but very strange, detail about his return: “I was in my costume, and I couldn’t use my fingers because in the sequel I have flippers instead of hands. So I had these wax flippers on my fingers, and I couldn’t open the door,...
