Nonetheless, I watched it all within the space of forty eight hours. The series had something going for it. The two leads playing Emma and Anton were professional and convincing.
We had a science fiction tale embodying the old story - the rich are privileged and the poor have to make do. Here it's a matter of life and death though as the ecological catastrophe has meant the majority of people subsist on mass-produced gruel and the rich can theoretically live forever, cut off from the pollution and diseases outside their sealed domes.
Emma and Anton come from opposite sides of the divide and their story is how they overcome hatred of the "other" and prejudice.
Even though it's presumably aimed at kids I still liked this as an easy way to pass a few hours.
