Who's cutting onions? Great ending to a season of fighters chewed and tossed by the Navy...
lorrylh3 December 2022
I'm embracing the suck. No spoilers, but if you (like me) wasn't very happy with the previous episode (or this season in general) this episode might give you some relief. I like where the show is going, that the characters are not just 'one trick pony' Rambo characters but the show displays the multifaceted external and internal struggle of war fighters and the utter meaninglessness of US war fighting in the 2k-millennia. These wars are designed to drag on and churn the war machine - never to be won - and this show does a great job portraying that. It shows the toll of endless war fighting not only on the soldiers & their families, but also the disconnect between them and command (well portrayed in the evolving character and career of Lisa Davis).

War is dirty business and the military isn't perfect, heck - it's pretty guilty. With US navy servicemen in my family I've seen first hand what it does to families when fighters are broken and tossed out by the Navy. This show displays that in a way that's challenging yet respectful both of the Navy and all those who sacrificed - thanks to the crew for that - even though with one of the Bravos cleaning up his act the show lacks the raging alcoholics we all know the Navy produces en masse...

Show is great, hoping there's a season 8. I keep paying Paramount just for this and just hope it doesn't take forever this time.

Best ending....and its also a new beginning

Embrace the suck....cause the end will make ya pump your fist. In reality we all adapt and overcome our illness, disease and whatever making us stay down. But we show up, work to our best and cowboy up. So before we walk out the door every day to meet the world...remember your not the only one that struggling with some kind of compromised and is struggling to adapt and survive, to help keep the machine going. So, Thank you to not just the Army, navy, airforce...but the dads, teachers, moms, bus drivers, taxis, grader operators, police.....to many too list and do it justice. Thank you! Your a trooper. Remember cant help others if you cant help your self too...and that can be a little as rewarding the kid inside of you. As humans i think we need to be compromised; as it...keeps us sharp....wiser....aware of our strengths and weakness....in case SHTF. So to cover it up, ignore and label is waste of energy. When support, help and adaptive awareness....could make not only a whole person....but a better worker too.

Great episode, but please keep the boys hunting bad guys.....to shelf them is to tie your best arm behind back in a knife fight....and get a lot inexperienced folk hurt. Thanks for keeping as real as possible.

Warning: Spoilers
The show has been a bit lost recently and they are milking clays death the most they can.

They used 3 episodes for that.. I like how they honored their teammate and specially jasons speech at the end.. Epic stuff.

But like another reviewer said, the battle was rushed... we never got to see how they were able to get out of the heat.. davis just manifested and things just changed for the better.. i guess? Plot hole and just lazy writing..

If there is another season, we know that stella will not be a part.. they will just make a story that she moved with her parents or something... and jason..I wonder what is going to happen next season.. nothing, obviously, they will put him in a desk and then create something to make him operate again lol.

Decent

Warning: Spoilers
This was a fairly decent series ender (if that's what it was). Given the complete boneheaded writing decisions of Aces and Eights, you couldn't expect much other than what they brought to this episode. I think the message sent at the end of the episode was great. However, this season in my opinion demonstrates why most series like this should call it a day after 5 seasons. Series like Law & Order are different, they carry virtually nothing over from show to show, they can go forever. Seal, and shows like it, are different. And so, they tend to run out of steam by the end of 5 seasons. They should've cut this one off after S5.

We interrupt this war...
scolaighe-122 November 2022
...to bring the schmalz. There is a huge continuity problem with this episode. Bravo is exiting Mosul with no certain exfil in place. We cut to Lt. Davis who was supposed to be back at her oversight station helping to make that exfil happen but instead she enters her office where she pulls up a heavily redacted document on her computer. Next we jump to Bravo on a transport headed home. We have no idea how Bravo finally got out and no idea what the document Davis brought up is (the document is explained later).

Streaming should mean more to a series than just being able to cuss. It should mean being able to tell a story in full in its own time. The plot points cut from this story killed the continuity and detracted from an otherwise enjoyable and meaningful season finale.
