When he isn’t nabbing a part in the unwarranted Raging Bull sequel/prequel or Peter Bogdanovich‘s upcoming John Ledger, Tom Sizemore is attempting to vamp up his career with the new crime drama An Honest Thief. The actor will both star and executive produce the project for Polimedia Films, from a script written by his brother Aaron Sizemore, Bertie Higgins and Larry Madill.
In a recent interview with (The Playlist), Sizemore stated that, ‘We’re hoping Woody [Harrelson] will be in the movie and we’re trying to get Ryan Phillippe too. Woody is 50/50 right now and we’re going to talk to Ryan next week.’ The interesting pair, if they were to accept, would be joining Thomas Jane for the film and Sizemore, of course.

Though every week it seems Tom Sizemore leads enough straight-to-dvd releases for video stores (remember those?) to devote a new release wall in his honor, he still manages to sneak a theatrical appearance in occasionally. His latest, “Cellmates” may not have been the return he (or anyone) was hoping for, but after signing on to star in Peter Bogdanovich's “John Ledger,” the actor is now working multiple roles putting together a crime drama that could pull his career together.
Polimedia Films have announced Sizemore will both exec produce and star in “An Honest Thief,” from a script by his brother Aaron Sizemore, and the actor's already expressed a keen interest on two specific people for his cast. In a recent interview with We Got This Covered, Sizemore said, “We're hoping Woody [Harrelson] will be in the movie and we're trying to get Ryan Phillippe too. Woody is 50/50 right now and...

Though he may not carry the reputation he once did, actor Tom Sizemore (Saving Private Ryan, Black Hawk Down), is slowly starting to rebuild his career. In the pipeline he has Raging Bull II, John Ledger and a film titled An Honest Thief, which he’s producing and starring in.
The film, which already has Thomas Jane set to star alongside Sizemore, is based on a screenplay by Sizemore’s brother Aaron. The thriller revolves around three small-time thieves from L.A. who hatch a scheme to rip off a local neighborhood pawnbroker. Of course, not everything goes as planned and unforeseen complications arise.
In a recent interview with us to promote John Ledger, Sizemore spoke a bit about the film and told us that he’s currently in talks with Woody Harrelson and Ryan Phillippe, both of whom are interested in joining.
