the atmosphere
Kirpianuscus6 December 2022
A lonely guy in a big city. A first date. His expectation for the second. A phone call and her , at the first sight, bizarre reaction. And the city.

Not the story itself is the significant part but the atmosphere and admirable acting of Ben Sarat.

The heart of interest + the high realism of story. The good point + maybe the ambiguity between the two. But the significant thing is the portrait of routine, piece by piece. And the bitterness developed by it.

The cold colors, the music, the steps , the dialogue - all as parts of a honest perspective about apparent isolated, marginal life. In fact, a precise portrait of manz lives from near reality.

The speculations about reactions of characters are more than seductive. The end is just great. But the best part is represented by atmosphere and the feeling to discover a too honest, faithful, direct image of insignificant people living in society like a sort of shadows . This makes this short film profound impressive.
