The Alien Report: "The Alien Report follows "The Abductee" (Braxton Hale), an everyday American who finds himself hijacked by extraterrestrial beings and taken on a terrifying journey of self-preservation, running afoul of classic "grey aliens", disturbing human-et hybrids, and the U.S. government's shady Men in Black. Based on countless documented reports made by self-proclaimed abductees, The Alien Report is a meticulous, straight-faced look at what an real-life alien abduction would be like, from the perspective of first-person cameras.
The Alien Report has screened at festivals worldwide, winning awards in the U.S., UK, Australia, and Brazil. Shot on iPhone and GoPro cameras as a non-traditional narrative composed of re-assembled found footage, the picture plays out as both a sci-fi thriller and first-person documentary. It is the intended first chapter in a trilogy of films about extraterrestrial abductions.
The Alien Report was directed by Patrick Donnelly and produced by Kevin Schroeder and Michael Sell.

Everyone wants a piece of Murphy on season two of Syfy's Z Nation, and ahead of the latest episode's premiere tonight at 10:00pm Est, we caught up with Keith Allan, the actor who plays Patient Zero. In our latest Q&A feature, Allan discusses watching Dark Shadows while growing up, Murphy's mindset in season two, and much more.
Thanks for taking the time to converse with us, Keith. You’ve been involved with a number of horror projects over the years. Were you a big fan of the horror and sci-fi genres growing up? Did you have any favorite films, TV shows, or books from those genres that really stuck with you?
Keith Allan: Absolutely. Horror was huge when I was a teenager. Friday the 13th, Halloween, science fiction like Alien, 2001: A Space Odyssey... great drive-in movies. Lots of fun to go party with your buds and just get silly and scream.

If a step-by-step guide were written for how to create a standard zombie narrative, it would be titled "Z Nation." Start with one part outbreak footage, and mix in some overlapping audio clips of news regarding said outbreak.
Simmer it in a stock of basic characters with one part brown-haired stubbly leader, one part love interest, two parts mysterious drifters with unexplained combat prowess, and three parts uninteresting zombie chow to beef up the cast.
Marinade in a standard post-apocalyptic world, equal parts towns trying to make it and traveling caravans with dubious intent. Bake for 45 minutes in standard character dilemmas, adding in a mission to cure the virus for some longevity. Garnish with dialogue.
I try not to be too critical of things for being standard. I can’t expect everyone watching something to have the same breadth of exposure as I do, and in my experience there’s...

Zombie Night, directed by John Gulager and starring Daryl Hannah, Anthony Michael Hall, Alan Ruck, and Shirley Jones, premieres on Syfy October 26th at 9/8 Central as part of the network's “31 Days of Halloween.” We have a teaser trailer for the film to share.
Gulager, director of the Feast franchise and the ill-fated Piranha 3Dd, pairs with Keith Allan and Delondra Williams, writers of last year’s Asylum-produced Rise of the Zombies and the recent Syfy original Ragin’ Cajun Redneck Gators, for this latest foray into walking dead territory starring a former movie mermaid, a guy who has already dealt with “The Dead Zone,” Ferris Bueller’s best friend, and a 1970’s singing TV mom.
Look for what will most likely be the gorier unrated version on DVD/Blu-ray December 10th from The Asylum - Gaiam.

To absolutely no one's surprise, there is new talk of sequels to this weekend's big opener World War Z. The film was originally conceived as a franchise starter, but the hope of a trilogy seemed lost once the production ran into trouble and the cost ballooned to nearly $200 million. With an estimated $111.8 million worldwide this last weekend Paramount is putting the bug in audience members' ear that Hey, you better go see this first one, because we might make another one. The news comes from The Hollywood Reporter where most of the talk revolves around the support the film received from Brad Pitt, who not only starred in the film, but produced it through his Plan B productions. I'm not sure why everyone seems to be so thankful the actor/producer would so heavily support a project his company spent millions to produce, but I guess that's... laudablec Interestingly enough,...

The movie opens with a crazy hilarious song from Chiranjeevi’s Kondaveeti Donga (a Telugu version of Michael Jackson’s famous zombie video song ‘Thriller’) and that pretty much sets the mood of the entire movie. Raj Nidimoru and Krishna D.K. give us our first zombie flick which we can be truly proud of in Go Goa Gone.
Like a true zom-com, Go Goa Gone doesn’t have a very particularly complex storyline. Hardik (Kunal Khemu) and Luv (Vir Das) two perpetual stoners hit rock bottom when one loses his job and the other his girlfriend. Looking for a break they both feel they deserve, Hardik and Luv join their third friend, the simpleton Bunny (Anand Tiwari of Jaago Re ad fame) to his business trip to Goa. Mumbai, April 5: Actress Kirti Kulhari, who plays Vinny, the zombie's girlfriend in "Rise Of The Zombies", says the role was a "cakewalk" as compared to her part in "Shaitan".
In "Shaitan", Kirti played Tanya, an aspiring model, who gets no support from her family and, hence, has to struggle a lot.
"As compared to my role in 'Shaitan', it ('Rise Of The Zombies') was like a 'cakewalk'," the 28 year-old said here in an interview.
"I don't mean to sound anything else... just the fact that different characters have different characteristics," she added.
"Shaitan" was directed by Bejoy Nambiar, while Anurag Kashyap produced it.

Mumbai, Feb 13: Actor Luke Kenny, who plays the main lead in "Rise of the Zombies", said to be India's first zombie thriller, says keeping the story of the film simple was an exciting challenge for the team.
"It (The film) is a beginning of the story. It is the first part of a long story. It is part one of a zombie trilogy, which is going to be coming out in the years to come," Luke said here Tuesday at an event to promote the film.
"Every story should begin in a simple way and that is what we have tried. That has been the most exciting challenge - to keep it simple," he added.
In the film, Luke plays the role of Neil.

Director:Nick Lyon. Writers: Keith Allan and Delondra Williams. Cast: Mariel Hemingway, Chad Lindberg, LeVar Burton, Heather Hemmens and Danny Trejo. Rise of the Zombies had such a great title, but so little substance. This film aired on the SyFy Network Saturday, October 27th and Rise of the Zombies is big on laughter but light on thrills. This viewer laughed at all of the forced sentimentality and at all of the predictable situations until the film threatened a sequel. Then, this viewer's mood became more serious and angrier. Please do not let this film see a sequel! Director Nick Lyon's (Zombie Apocalypse) latest flesh eating film is just too full of one shot takes, CGI backgrounds and pointless meanderings from the characters to recommend even to fans of the campy. The story, such as it is, follows several survivors of a zombie apocalypse on Alcatraz Island. In San Francisco,...

Tagline: "When the odds are 4 Billion to 4, the only thing to do is...reload!" Director Nick Lyon returns to the zombie horror genre with Rise of the Zombies! Lyon also produced Zombie Apocalypse (2011) for production company The Asylum. Zombie Apocalypse turned out to be a decent film that was action focused and tense. The first trailer for Rise of Zombies appears to be equally tense. In the clip, a group of survivors hold up at the Alcatraz Prison in the wake of an undead pandemic. Their life is peaceful for only so long, however. Soon, the zombies are at their cell doors and they have to evacuate to the mainland or die. Have a look at the exciting clip below. Premiere Date: October 27th (Television, SyFy Network) and January 15th, 2013 (DVD). Director: Nick Lyon. Writers: Keith Allan and Delondra Williams. Cast: Mariel Hemingway, Chad Lindberg, LeVar Burton, Danny Trejo, Ethan Suplee and Heather Hemmens.

Zombie fans, Syfy Original Movie fans, and all those looking for a show to watch on the couch with a bowl of popcorn, definitely check this out. I like the Original Movies, they’re fun. This one, though, has some genuinely Oh My God Did They Really Do That?! moments that make it worth a definitely look.
And that’s not the only reason to watch. This particular zombie movie has...

Technically, Syfy‘s 31 Days of Halloween celebration started on Monday, but it really gets going tonight with the broadcast premiere of a special 90-minute episode of Paranormal Witness, “The Abduction.” Based on the 1975 UFO abduction case in Arizona, this docudrama will have you glued to your viewing device. It is astoundingly good.
At the other end of the month we’ll get to vote on the Face Off winner. In between will be episodes of Ghost Hunters and Syfy Original Movies and of course, the very excellent Haven.
