I know it couldn't have been helped, but I wasn't overly keen on having the partnering episode and then Week One on consecutive nights, I thought that became a bit overkill.
This fared much better, and the standard seemed high across many of the couples.
Yes, there's a lot of people stuck in the middle, and the show did creek under the weight of having so many couples performing on the same night, but it's 'Strictly', you know what you're getting- gentle entertainment that passes the time and offers some nice moments.
We have already seen at this stage who is better suited to ballroom or Latin, and that's enough right now.
