The episode begins with the final moments of Kushina and her son. She thanks him for letting her be his mother, for letting Minato be his father, for being born with them. And as she gives him the last hug, she fades away. Naruto has tears on his face, and remains a while there, thinking about his mother's last words. He promises to eat more vegetables, not just ramen. He says he takes baths regularly, and goes to the hot springs resort. He sleep well, probably more than what he should. He made many friends, and wishes she could meet them. Still, there's one with whom he is not getting along lately. About study, she was right, he neither was good at it. He had his bad and good moments with teachers and seniors, but now he respects them all, Iruka, Kakashi, Hiruzen, Gai, Asuma, Kurenai, Yamato. About the prohibitions, she was right about Jiraiya, still, he was the one who taught him how to be a shinobi. His sensei was a great man. At last, Naruto says he will be Hokage, greater than his father, and a better shinobi than his mother. Then, he leaves his subconcious and returns with Yamato and Killer B. This brief part had the touching beginning, as the continuation of such emotive farewell. It's sad to see Kushina disappear. In so little time, she showed so much, that she will be missed. She is the best woman of this anime by far. Naruto's latter words were well written at the beginning, and referred to almost every wish of his mother. I'd have liked to listen his words about the prohibitions, the money, the drinking, and especially women/girls. Naruto has behaved well so far with the drinking, he is just 16. About money and savings, it's not so clear, he usually has some, but other times not. About girls, I wished Naruto to say that he is close to a girl like his mother, referring to Sakura, though he is still working on it. Anyway, Naruto's last words, saying that he would surpass his parents, were not likable. If there's something Kushina taught him, is not to be arrogant. She gave him a model of person, someone who wasn't a great student, and still, didn't care to be less than others. Kushina told him to remember that everyone has strengths and weaknesses, so it's fine if he can't be good at everything. In other words, she taught him to admit his own weaknesses, admit his failures, it's ok. So she didn't want him to be a greater Hokage than Minato, she wanted him to follow his dream, make it come true, just that. Naruto should have said instead something like "I love you" or "I'll become Hokage to protect the village just like you did for me and everyone" "Thank you, mom and dad, you'll always be with me".

Anyway, back on the room, Naruto says he did it, to Yamato and B. He bumps fists with his fellow jinchuriki, who somehow understands what happened without words. They talk happily but Yamato doesn't understand anything, and starts to lose patience. This was made as a comic relief. Naruto then explains that he stored the Kyuubi's available chakra on a safe place inside him, so he doesn't have to use it all the time. Still, to show them, he takes it, and transforms into a Nine Tails Mode, adquiring that shinning yellow like fire cloak. When he does this, Yamato's wood pillars are affected as tree branches begin to grow. Yamato is impressed, and tells that on this mode Naruto is full of vital energy. Yet, the protagonist has another ability: he detects the other being with them in the room, and points at Samehada on B's back. Kisame is stunned, but is forced to reveal himself. He realizes that now Naruto can perceive the hatred and bad intentions on the persons, no matter the kind of chakra. Killer B can't believe Kisame is alive, so the Akatsuki tells that B and his brother only killed a clone. When asked how nobody noticed including Shee who can sense him, Kisame briefly explains that he used a parasite clone who copied him perfectly and was controlled from a distance. Also, he could remain hidden inside Samehada since they share the same type of chakra/energy. However, Kisame realizes he has no chance against two jinchurikis and a Mokuton user, so decides to escape. Naruto now has also increased speed and manages to reach him, but he can't control so well his new power, and gets stuck in the wall. Kisame is injured but flees away, so B chases him while Yamato helps Naruto. In the meantime, Maito Gai has already recovered from the nausea, and went with Motoi and Aoba to check on Naruto's progress. They go to the Falls of Truth, where Aoba jokingly tells Gai to fight with his inner self. Gai obviously accepts, and then starts hearing a voice, that says how he should accept the reality of his age, and stop talking about his youth. He may pretend on Lee's presence, but he is getting old. As Gai's frustration grows, Kisame suddenly appears from behind the Falls. Motoi recognizes him as an enemy, but Gai simply attacks him being upset with his inner self. Killer B arrives, so Kisame takes the chance to let Samehada reach him, while he goes underwater to steal his chakra (he was thin and weakened after being hidden). They are aware that the Akatsuki wants to escape with the gathered intel, so Aoba tries to stop him, but fails. Kisame flees away thanks to a shark technique, and Gai follows him after activating the six gates of chakra. The sensei is propelled with B's help, and later summons the turtle Ningame in mid air to use it as a stepping stone. Gai finally reaches Kisame, who places a scroll containing intel inside a shark. A battle begins, as Kisame uses multiple shark clones to deceive Gai, and the shinobi must open seven gates to stop every shark from escaping. At the end, Kisame uses a special technique that drains chakra, but Gai's next attack is based on extreme tai jutsu, which is unstoppable. The episode ends, implying that Gai is going to win the battle. This part obviously differs from the previous streak of episodes. It was more like a comedy of action. Aoba, Killer B, Gai were written as "dumb" to produce comic relief. And well, at a certain point was funny, but also was a bit exaggerated. Yamato for instance was well written, he produced some comedy but also showed a caring side while helping Naruto. Gai was missed, his power is understimated indeed, he is a lightful character, but looks like he lost some seriousness lately. Anyway, by summoning the turtle was a proof that he can do other things besides tai jutsu. About Naruto's new powers, not bad, but the vital energy part is like unnecesary. The fact that he can detect hatred and bad intentions he logic, as he now can differ between the Kyuubi's chakra and his own. A final comment: though the storyline here wasn't bad, it's strange how the writer abruptly passed to a new page. The last four episodes focused on Naruto's parents, their heartbreaking story and tragedy. And now that Naruto knows, he wasn't eager to share or talk about it, just like after he met his father. He could have told Yamato what happened, what he learned, and then go to tell Gai, Aoba, Motoi. Plus, he could have shared a talk with Killer B, and so to know something about his parents. But instead of this, there was sudden twist of storyline. And the worst is that Naruto didn't even talk about his father with Tsunade. When she was in a coma, he was eager to tall to her. But then it was all forgotten. Now, Naruto still should be excited, anxious, to express all about his mom and dad. Normally, he would walk out to tell Kakashi, Sakura, Shikamaru, and others. Sadly, the war arc won't give him much time to enjoy the fact that he met his parents, and the invaluable sacrifice they made for him and the village.
