Typical Science Fiction Short

Warning: Spoilers
This has spoilers, but here we go...

Decent enough film, though watching you have a feeling of generally what is to come. The title kind of gives you an idea what is going to happen. A different name would have been neato. Personally, I love aliens but, I hate films that never show you anything, like the 4th kind. It seems like smoke and mirrors.

Pros:

The paper bag seemed to be the focus of the film. However I thought it was going to be something more gruesome.

I saw the budget was 1,000 quid, not sure how much repairs would have been to the car, but cheers for taking the hit to make the film more interesting.

The leading male roles were pretty good actors. The leading character seemed mental like he was on drugs and trying to figure out who he was. Down the rabbit hole. I hated the integrator guy, but I guess that was the role.

Cons:

The style of filming was nondescript, what you would expect for a low budget film: closed off, lacking wide shots, except for the first shot made me feel more confused then from the story.

The actress did seem a tad under experienced and over the top with her acting. Completely unbelievable storming off at the end.

All in all I would say the acting is above average (6 out of 10), the cinematography was below average from the lack of angles(3 or 4 out of 10), the story was the best part (7 out of 10)

Excellent suspenseful short film!

My family and I LOVE this short film! I was so impressed with what was done on such a small budget, but even more impressed with the story line. It was unique, engaging, and chilling.

I am a fan of how the 'creature' was shown in this short. With a small budget, you don't have the resources to build something high quality, and just showing a hint of this 'creature' in the film worked well budget-wise and it left enough to the viewer's imagination. I have seen another short production recently that had a good story line which was destroyed by the cheesiness of the "monster" in the film.

The suspense was right on and saving the 911 phone call for the end was genius! I would definitely recommend watching this short film to others. The accolades won so far are no surprise to me and I have no doubt there are more to come.

Congratulations Zipper! crew on a film well done!
