Goodbye John Barton
MarkLynnIreland12945 March 2023
Warning: Spoilers
This is one of those emotional episodes as the opening scenes for three minutes are absolute silence without word of dialogue from any of the characters, and Kate Bush soundtrack "Running Up That Hill" played as well which can be quite tear-jerking. The cast did a decent performances especially Natalie Robb as a grieving widow Moira and Adam Thomas as Adam Barton.

John's funeral held at some crematorium.

From watching this episode I was mainly focusing on both Chas and Moira - or rather their friendship at this point despite them having slanging matches / rivalry few weeks prior when John and Chas flirtation moments John on rebound.

Declan shouldn't make his appearance at both the crematorium and at the pub where wake is held afterwards - he should know how inconvenient his presence can cause.

Adam totally making a show of himself whether going off at Declan as usual (brings up hounding John for money as payback of Adam with missus Ella) and accusing Chas for her passion with John "ripping his pants off". At least Aaron was calm and resisted temptation in hitting Adam as by he said "because he wants him to" - I can see why Aaron left with Ed for France later. As much as Adam is hurting from losing his dad, it's still ridiculous of him playing the angry blame game when he can't see what he himself and his family caused in which got them in current mess.

Lisa really went off at Zak for not attending and paying his respects yet I wonder if it has something to do with Cain.

In terms of trivia, Roz (Holly's friend from college) returns since August 2011 - yet her actress: Kirsty-Leigh Porter, is mainly known as Leela Lomax in Hollyoaks.
