Really good
vittorsaleh13 April 2019
I remember how i was introduced to DH, my ex Boyfriend was a huge fan of the show and we used to watch it together, unfortunately he passed away before s4 begin, so in this finale I really cried hard thinking about life and everyone that we meet and keep in our side. The show in general is amazing and i wish I could've been able to watch it with him. But ir was totally worth keeping watching and remembering him laughing with every persona on the show! Congrats to the writers, cast and crew for providing the fans such good and sad moments!

What an amazing ending for this wonderful show. I have now watched the whole thing a few times, and this won't be the last time I do it. It never ceases to amaze me. Desperate Housewives will always have a place in my heart.

''even the most desperate life is, oh, so wonderful.''

Love, heartbreak and comedy, that's what the finale of Desperate Housewives brought to the screen. and if you ever get the chance its worth a second or third viewing because it was a fitting ending for such a great show.

Closure for the true fans!

Warning: Spoilers
Well part of me wanted to give it a 10, but when you watch the final 10 minutes and you are blown away by the montage and sudden twist at the end, you can't help but feel you wanted just something more!

What a show this has been, I honestly think those that criticise it are not giving it a fair chance! Over the years we have had four brilliant female characters tackle the daily problems that we all experience in our love lives and work lives, but with a whole lot of drama thrown in! This is television - I want it to be over the top and unreal! I won't spoil the ending, but when you hear the final narration and what is to become of the characters in the future... you can't help but panic as the final minutes begin to close! You don't want to let go... and sadly letting go is a big part of the bittersweet ending.

In the very final moments you are reminded of the past 8 years (13 in the show). The final words spoken by Mary Alice sum up the series so perfectly that it delivers a satisfactory ending. I'm not spoiling anything here - the promos show that the finale focuses on a wedding and it does. They aired the last two episodes together, the first half concludes the season and sets up the final episode. I felt the final episode should have had another focus and been a double of its own - who remembers the season 2 double finale 'Remember?' That will always be my favourite season finale and I would have preferred a similar ending with more flashbacks. There has been a number of flashbacks in this season (with many continuity errors) it would have been great to make a two hour finale on its own with more time for each character! They filmed so close to airing the finale, within two weeks of the air date! This could have been to keep everything quiet? Who knows! It felt they didn't give the finale their all, unlike the season 1 and 2 finales, which captured the show's talent so wonderfully!

When watching the episode, I felt like this couldn't be the finale! 'Is this really over in a few minutes? How are they going to conclude everything!' This is natural, I guess, when watching the final episode of a show you love and have stuck with through its run! Even though I focused on the negatives this is still one of the most wonderful conclusions to a television series that I have ever see. There truly aren't many shows that would get, or even deserve the final moments that Desperate Housewives provides for its viewers, which is an incredibly powerful goodbye to a wonderful show... they'll never be another show like it!

A brilliant finale to a brilliant series,

Warning: Spoilers
Finishing The Hat is a great, funny and emotional finale to Desperate Housewives,I will miss this show very much but they couldn't have ended it better. The montage and the end showing that all th women separated made me want to cry,not to forget the last drive around Wisteria Lane, but I didn't think there was any need for the final scene showing the women opening the box and locking it away.

Leading up to Renee and Bens wedding day,Susan tells the girls shes moving away.Lynette and Tom get back together, when Katherine Mayfair returns with a job opportunity for Lynette that Tom doesn't want her to take.Gaby is the bread winner now and Carlos feels like she is turning into the old him.Bree is taking care of Karin and Roy because Karin does not have much longer to live and Brees Lawyer and old boyfriend Trip gives Karin a stereo she wanted to listen to her favorite song over and over again before she dies and Bree begins to rethink about him.

On Renees wedding day,Julies water breaks all over Renees dress,Susan robs the limbo to make it to the hospital.Gaby and Renee run to the wedding and Ben forgives her for taking so long and the two happily carry on with there big day.Lynette decides not to take the job,but Tom says if she wants she can if it real makes her happy.Bree forgives Trip for what happened in court and they get back together.Gaby tells Carlos she still will give plenty of time for him and there two daughters and they forgive each other.

When Roy plays Karins song again,we see a montage using the song of,Julie giving birth to the baby and Lynette,Tom and Porter rushing to the hospital,B\en and Renee celebrating there new marriage,Gaby and Casrlos dancing with there children and Bree and Trip rushing to Roy and Karins house when she dies and Roy gives her one last kiss to say goodbye to his true love.

The girls all play one last game of poker as they all separate for each other. We see Susan driving away from Wisteria Lane with Julie,MJ and the new baby.As they have one last drive,we see Mike and many other characters that have died throughout the series watching them. While the woman who buys Susans house trys to hide one of her secrets that she finds in a box, that we will never find out.

-Goodbye Desperate Hosewives, you will be missed.

I almost gave it my best rating...

Warning: Spoilers
But that closing scene, where a new mystery was introduced. Was unnecessary, and added nothing to the plot either. « Finishing the Hat » is one of the best series finale I've ever seen. Finale episodes are usually disappointing, especially in a long running show like this one. They tend to do too much, not enough, or simply nothing special. But Desperate Housewives's delivered in all aspects of the narration. It's a good homage to the overall series, brought back characters we actually missed and gave the lead characters, their perfect happy endings, according to their stories and personalities. I'm pleased with everything writers had planned for their future, and even though there was no mention of Renee, in those mini flash forwards. And that the parallel between Karen's death, and Julie giving birth, was cliché. I can let those little flaws slide, when the rest of the episode, was everything we grew to love about the show all these years. Unfortunately for us fans, real life drama and scandals, took over and tarnished its reputation since. And I can't really think of one following project of theirs I liked. But it's always nice to go back to where, all these talented people were involved, in ABC's best prime time soap.
