Claustrophobic hostage scenario

Warning: Spoilers
We see two young woman holding a man hostage in something like an abandoned warehouse. We don't know how or why they kidnapped him, but that's not the point. It's all about the girls' mindsets and behavior in extreme situations. One of the two (Frances Millar) is quite a sadist, enjoying the power she has over the victim (Endaf Eynon Davies) by humiliating him repeatedly. The other woman (the wonderful Charity Wakefield) is a lot more reserved staying in safe distance, on the one hand as she fears he could get rid of his chains, on the other she's obviously not comfortably with the acts of power that Millar's character unleashes on the helpless victim.

I really loved the camera shot where Wakefield's character watches the scene from the distance around 3:30 with the victim being directly in front of the camera. Anyway, the aforementioned distance results in the stronger girl using derogative terms towards the other and mocking her being scared, especially after she slaps him in a way that was really more of a patting. Alas, was she wrong...

This short film is a nice little thriller elevated by good performances and a smartly-chosen location which further emphasizes the notion of angst all three characters show at one point or another. I think I would have even enjoyed it more if it was in black and white, but it's still worth the watch and I encourage everybody who reads this to watch the copy the director uploaded for your enjoyment.
