By sixteen, he had lost the ability to move his arms but through a music therapy program he was introduced to composing, finding his life’s purpose.
The documentary follows Kinarthy 18 years later as he embarks on the project to create the soundtrack of the most impactful memories of his young life in a bid to leave legacy.
“We can’t ever know how long we’ll be remembered or what impact we really made.

Chris Evans became a globally loved movie star after his Marvel role as Captain America. The actor played the super soldier in the film trilogy based on the character and also reprised his role in Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame.
Despite the 42-year-old actor’s key role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), it’s his co-star Robert Downey Jr. who is often credited for the meteoric success of MCU. Thanks to the Oscar winner’s laudable portrayal of Iron Man, he became the “Face of MCU” in many ways. However, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige once weighed in on Evans’ contribution to the MCU, noting how fans can often overlook the Captain America: Civil War star’s role in the company’s success.

Following a years-long development process, Apple will officially make a TV series based on William Gibson’s acclaimed sci-fi novel Neuromancer.
The tech giant and streamer has handed out a 10-episode series order to the drama based on the 1984 cyberpunk novel that launched Gibson’s career and the so-called Sprawl trilogy that also includes novels Count Zero (1986) and Mona Lisa Overdrive (1988).
Dark Winds creator Graham Roland and J.D. Dillard (The Twilight Zone) created the series for television. The series, a co-production between Skydance Television and Anonymous Content, will see Roland serve as showrunner with Dillard on board to direct the pilot.
Apple says Neuromancer revolves around a “damaged, top-rung super-hacker named Case who is thrust into a web of digital espionage and high stakes crime with his partner Molly, a razor-girl assassin with mirrored eyes, aiming to pull a heist on a corporate dynasty with untold secrets.”

Netflix’s latest miniseries, A Nearly Normal Family, based on M.T. Edvardsson’s best-selling novel, starts with a bang but ends up stumbling. It revolves around Stella Sandell (Alexandra Karlsson Tyrefors), a girl accused of killing her boyfriend, Chris, with all the evidence pointing towards her. Despite the prosecution pushing for maximum jail time, she’s released on a technicality. The series sets up high expectations for Stella’s parents, Adam (Björn Bengtsson) and Ulrika (Lo Kauppi), hinting that they’ve got some big shoes to fill. Sadly, both ended up as just a bickering couple with limited impact. Despite this, A Nearly Normal Family manages to be a decent watch, keeping you entertained. If you’re in the mood for something similar, here’s a list to try your luck with.

John Oliver took a jab at Apple TV+ during the latest episode of his HBO show Last Week Tonight.
During a segment about the way Dollar Tree and Dollar General stores are run, Oliver brought up TikTok videos of retail employees complaining about the work conditions, including a staffer who was asked to reopen her store shortly after it had been robbed.
“An armed robbery is a traumatic event people need time to recover from,” Oliver said before delivering the punchline, “It’s not something you can just ignore like a spam call or a broken light bulb or any show on Apple TV.”
Oliver then asked his viewers, “Did you know Octavia Spencer starred as a true crime podcaster on a show called Truth Be Told for three seasons?”
“Of course you didn’t. It’s Apple TV, where celebrities go to hide,” he quipped.

One of the most celebrated cinematic interpretations of Stephen King is the two-film adaptation of his seminal horror novel "It." Directed by Andy Muschietti, with the movies released in 2017 and 2019, "It" follows the twisted coming-of-age of a group of childhood friends in Derry, Maine. While the seven kids are harassed by neighborhood bully Henry Bowers (Nicholas Hamilton) and his gang of teenage ne'er-do-wells, a different kind of evil festers under Derry. Primarily appearing in the form of Pennywise the Dancing Clown (Bill Skarsgård), this otherworldly monster instills fear in its young victims before consuming them entirely.
Though the creature has haunted the region since ancient times, the first chapter takes place in the summer of 1989. That's when Pennywise surfaces to claim new victims around Derry while setting its sights on the main characters. Finding strength and solace in numbers, these friends refer to themselves share a bond under the banner...

There’s a whole roster of actors that went through the Marvel Cinematic Universe so far. Some of them became worldwide-known stars thanks to their MCU roles. One of them is Chris Evans, who rose to fame thanks to the role of Steve Rogers, aka Captain America, which he played between 2011 and 2019. It’s not that Evans wasn’t known before he played Captain America, but if you show Evans’ picture to anyone and ask them to guess who he is, a good amount of people will tell you: “That’s the guy that played Captain America.”
Evans started his career in the early 2000s by starring in teen movies. In 2005, he gained attention for his role as Johnny Storm, aka Human Torch, in Fox’s ‘Fantastic Four’ movie and its sequel ‘Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer’ in 2007. Apple TV+ today announced a season two renewal for “Silo,” the acclaimed, world-building drama based on Hugh Howey’s New York Times bestselling trilogy of dystopian novels. Created by Emmy-nominated screenwriter Graham Yost, who also serves as showrunner, and starring and executive produced by Rebecca Ferguson, the eighth episode of “Silo” premieres this Friday on Apple TV+.
Since its global premiere on May 5, “Silo” was quickly hailed as a “riveting and equally start-studded,” “must-watch” series and “simply transcendent sci-fi TV.” Week-to-week, the series drives growing viewership and, in addition to quickly reaching Certified Fresh status on Rotten Tomatoes, has landed acclaim for its “rich and compelling” world-building elements, as well as the “incredible” performance by Ferguson, who “brings an understated gravitas” to the lead role.

Apple TV+ is quietly cornering the market on high-quality literary adaptations; the streamer may be best-known for original series like "Ted Lasso," but its adaptation game is surprisingly strong. From standouts like "Pachinko," "Foundation," and "Black Bird" to more polarizing offerings like "Lisey's Story," "Defending Jacob," and "The Essex Serpent," the streamer is constantly fine-tuning the art of the page-to-screen projects. The latest book adaptation from them is especially ambitious, and it's a risk that largely pays off. The 10-episode first season of "Silo," based on Hugh Howey's bestselling novel series, builds a somber yet thrilling world from the ground up — or, in the case of the titular structure, from the ground down.
"Silo" starts with a searingly great premise: a group of roughly 10,000 people is housed in an underground silo, at least 140 years removed from some sort of society-shaking event. Details about the silo's history are cloudy (for...

The more I see the content Apple TV puts out, the more I’m convinced that an AI that has never actually met human beings is writing these characters based on the content it has been fed. In no universe can a sentient being write characters and stories so far off from real people and their lives. Sure, unlikelier things have happened. But when even a regular, run-of-the-mill interaction between two individuals is too difficult to pull off for a production company, should they really be in the filmmaking business? After royally ruining up Chris Evan’s Marvel-made image with a sad excuse for a crime thriller, namely ‘Defending Jacob,’ you bet Apple would be back with “Ghosted” to make Captain America cry at the horrid fate of his wonderful actor, who has time and again proved that he’s so much better than what he has to do. What’s worse?...

The trailer for Apple TV's new film "Ghosted" is here, and it looks like another case of a big, splashy, blockbuster-type movie headed straight to the small screen. "Ghosted" stars former Marvel superstar Chris Evans and arguably even-bigger-right-now breakout star Ana de Armas, reuniting post-"Knives Out" for an action-packed rom-com. The movie comes from "Rocketman" director Dexter Fletcher, with a screenplay co-written by the screenwriting teams behind the "Deadpool" movies and recent "Spider-Man" trilogy.
That's a whole lot of star power, and the first trailer for "Ghosted" matches it with just as much firepower, as it features de Armas in gun-toting, badass CIA agent mode while Evans delivers some in-over-his-head everyman schtick. Before it unveils the spy-centric plot of the movie, which is a bit of a Trojan horse here, "Ghosted" offers up a meet-cute between Cole (Evans) and Sadie (de Armas), whom Cole thinks "might be the one.

We get it: As Meryl Streep, Julia Roberts, or Matthew McConaughey told us long ago, there’s zero stigma when movie stars take on a prestige limited series. Still, when a movie star as big as Scarlett Johansson makes her TV debut, this is more than a gig: After the Bob Chapek-era “Black Widow” debacle, it’s a chance for her to create more agency over her career.
Johansson will star in the Amazon limited series “Just Cause,” and serve as executive producer with her production company, These Pictures. It’s a thriller in which Johansson will play a reporter covering an inmate’s final days on death row, based on the 1992 book of the same name by John Katzenbach.
Developed by These Pictures, the show gender-flips the book’s protagonist; the 1995 Warner Bros. feature adaptation of “Just Cause” starred Sean Connery. Also in that cast is a 10-year-old,...

Vendôme Pictures, the production house behind Sian Heder’s Oscar-winning film “Coda,” is set to produce “Ibelin,” a feature film which will be directed by Morten Tyldum (“The Imitation Game”).
Penned by Kyle Killen (“Halo”), the film will be inspired by the real-life story of Mats Steen, a disabled boy from Norway who went by ‘Ibelin’ in the gaming world.
Vendôme Pictures’ Philippe Rousselet and Fabrice Gianfermi are producing alongside Tyldum and Guri Neby (“The Monkey and the Mouth”) for Neby-Tyldum As. Principal photography will take place in the U.S., suggesting that the action will take place in the U.S. rather than Norway. Production dates yet to be set.
Like “Coda,” “Ibelin” will likely be a heart-wrenching drama. Steen died at the age of 25 from Duchenne muscular dystrophy. His parents, Robert and Trude, mourned what they thought had been a lonely and isolated life for their disabled son.

Hawkeye (not the one with the arrows) in the film version of "M*A*S*H," President Snow in "The Hunger Games," Buffy's watcher Merrick in the "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" movie — with an acting career that spans more thapn 60 years, Donald Sutherland has worked on just about every kind of project there is. That includes a trip to the Stephen King universe, back when he starred in the 2004 miniseries adaptation of "Salem's Lot."
Sutherland has since returned to the King-verse for "Mr. Harrigan's Phone," a new film based on the author's novella of the same name (which he published as part of his 2020 collection "If It Bleeds"). The movie centers on Craig (Jaeden Martell), a troubled boy from a small town who strikes up a surprising bond with the eponymous character (Sutherland), a local wealthy recluse. Jaeden Martell made his acting debut in 2014's "St. Vincent" before landing his biggest role to date as Loser Club resident Bill in 2017's big-screen adaptation of Stephen King's "It." Since then, Martell has had his hands full with numerous projects, including Apple TV+'s suspense miniseries "Defending Jacob," eerie psychological-thriller "The Lodge," and Oscar-nominated "Knives Out."
Martell, who recently appeared in the Netflix teen dramedy "Metal Lords," is currently gearing up for the upcoming release of "Mr. Harrigan's Phone." The forthcoming horror offering adapts one of King's eponymous short stories published in his 2020 novella, "If It Bleeds." Written and helmed by John Lee Hancock, the chilling story follows Martell's Craig, a young teenager who strikes up an uncanny friendship with reclusive billionaire John Harrigan (Donald Sutherland). Soon after Craig gifts Mr. Harrigan a new phone, the old man passes away, leaving Craig all alone and grief-stricken. However, things...

The Stephen King adaptation renaissance is showing no signs of slowing down, in large part thanks to Netflix, which has recently brought three of the author's short stories to our screens. Joining the streamer's library alongside Mike Flanagan's "Gerald's Game," Zak Hilditch's "1922," and Vincenzo Natali's "In The Tall Grass," Netflix has finally released a trailer for the upcoming film, "Mr. Harrigan's Phone," another movie based on a chilling story from the famed horror writer. This time around, the supernatural is clashing with one of the scariest concepts of all: growing up. The film comes from writer-director John Lee Hancock and stars Jaeden Martell and Donald Sutherland in the lead roles.
Coming-of-age drama takes center stage in this story about Craig (Martell), a teenage boy befriending a reclusive billionaire (Sutherland as the titular Mr. Harrigan). They form a bond so strong that not even death can split them...

From the 1976 adaptation of "Carrie" to 2017's "It," Stephen King's books have always shown great potential for a successful movie. Netflix has seemed aware of this fact ever since they started making original content; they released a film adaptation of King's claustrophobic novel "Gerald's Game" in 2017, and it was just as disturbing as the trailers promised.
At the same time, it's also become clear over the years that novellas and short stories, perhaps more so than full-length novels, make for great films. "The Shawshank Redemption" and "The Mist" were both novellas, and they ended up making for the most critically acclaimed King movies ever made. King's shorter works often give directors far more room to breathe. With that in mind,...

The life of an American Gigolo isn't as easy as one might think.
Forty-two years after Richard Gere made an impression with theater-goers as gigolo Julian Kaye, it's Jon Bernthal's time at the wheel.
American Gigolo is present-day reimagining of the iconic 1980 film, but it's hard not to notice the similarities between Gere and Berenthal.
The American Gigolo has a specific look, and we can't wait to see what Bernthal does with the role.
The series follows Julian Kaye (Bernthal) after his wrongful conviction and release from 15 years in prison.
He'll be navigating his complicated relationships with his former lover Michelle (Gretchen Mol), his troubled mother, and the people who betrayed him.
While Julian struggles to reconcile the escort he was in the past and the man he is today, Detective Sunday (Rosie O'Donnell) seeks the truth about the murder that sent Julian to prison all those years ago.

Though he will likely forever be associated with his work as Captain America, Chris Evans the actor has become much more than simply the good guy behind the colorful shield. Just when you think you can peg him as an action star, Evans turns around and simply nails it in genre after genre — romance (“The Nanny Diaries”), mystery (“Knives Out”), comedy (“Scott Pilgrim vs. the World”) and drama (“Gifted”). And when future Oscar-winning director Bong Joon Ho needed a hero for his first English-language film, he turned to Evans for “Snowpiercer.” When Evans tried his hand in other media, he scored again, gathering much acclaim for his Apple TV Plus’s limited series “Defending Jacob” and earning a Drama Desk nomination for his Broadway debut in Kenneth Lonergan’s play “Lobby Hero.”

A Friend Of The Family comes from Nick Antosca, who serves as showrunner, writer and executive producer.
A Friend Of the Family is based on the harrowing true story of the Broberg family, whose daughter Jan was kidnapped multiple times over a period of years by a charismatic, obsessed family “friend.” The Brobergs — devoted to their faith, family, and community — were utterly unprepared for the sophisticated tactics their neighbor used to exploit their vulnerabilities, drive them apart, and turn their daughter against them. This is the story of how their lives were permanently altered — and how they survived.

It’s late on a Friday afternoon and as the working week draws to a close, music supervisor Jen Malone is invigorated. The cause for celebration? An email she had been waiting for just arrived, marking the last clearance for a song to be used in the season finale of HBO’s “Euphoria.”
Malone’s needle drops for the music-heavy series helped make “Euphoria” a social-media phenomenon, trending on a weekly basis as two million-plus tune in. Those viewers are also holding their phones toward the screen with the Shazam app open, looking to capture every song.
Malone — who has been nominated for two Guild of Music Supervisors Awards, both in the same category: music supervision for film budgeted under $5 million, for “Malcolm & Marie” and “Zola” (alongside Nicole Weisberg and Mandi Collier) — spends Sunday evenings glued to HBO herself. And in a case of life meets art, she was...
