documentary shows brave journalism in spite of life theats!

Sri Lanka may not be Syria, Libya, or Egypt, to get the Media attention on the lack of Media Freedom, due to GoSL clever strategies. Nevertheless this documentary by Norwegian Director Beate Arnestead, got selected in Film festivals and reveals brave journalism. This film with other factors raises several questions...

The Sinhalese Journalist Lasantha Wickramatunga, wrote in editorial before he was killed by the Govt. 'Then they came for me'

Fortunately the exiled Journalists from this movie have a site

Also Media freedom is addressed in the Award-winning British Channel 4 documentary: Sri Lanka Killing Fields

Hard hitting truth...

This documentary exposes the truth about how journalists are in danger for exposing crimes and corruption committed by the Sri Lankan state. Sinhalese are not exempt from the wrath of the government for speaking out against corruption, or speaking out against atrocities committed against Tamils on the island nation.

If Sinhalese journalists are being targeted by the state for dissent, how much worse would Tamils have been treated during and after the ethnic conflict by Sri Lankan government forces?

I highly recommend this film lovers of human rights and justice. However, viewer discretion is advised due to disturbing content...
