I saw this film three different times and it gets better each time. It's a good documentary about teens' journeys through the maze of life. More specifically, to me, the main character was Mikayla, and you follow her through her daily life. She's on this quest to win a championship for this state-wide challenge for who remembers the most bible verses and info. Teams from all over the country compete and the finalists go to one centralized location to duke it out. The documentary follows her around, from family life and troubles, potential love interests, school, the rehearsing and practicing for the challenge, and other tidbits of information. It's got twists and turns and takes the viewer to places least expected. I left the theater feeling like I won a victory, even though I wasn't in the movie or any kind of contest. So, I guess you could say that the film is sort of a feel-good type of movie.
